It's probably not THE best, but this set has a very good quality version. http://www.amazon.com/Martial-Arts-Essentials-Films-Yuen/dp/B000VSDN32/ref=pd_bbs_sr_1?ie=UTF8&s=dvd&qid=1205892487&sr=8-1
It also comes with Taoism Drunkard, Born Invincible, Kung Fu Massacre, Invincible Armor and Awaken fist. so if you haven't seen a few of the other movies included then it's a great deal.

The Mei Ah DVD that can be found at HKflix is not too bad...
...and it's NOT a boot, fellas.

Yeah, the Mei Ah remastered version is nothing to blow you away but it's pretty okay.

Is the picture on the Mei Eh version all scratched up? I recommended the version in that Woo Ping collection because the picture is pretty much flawless. But, it's only partly widescreen, so I am guessing the Mei Eh version has the upperhand there.

No, the picture is pretty clear, it's just that the colors aren't too bright. The Mei Ah remastered is overall nice, it's just not perfect.
Mei Ah is nice but personally i prefer the Soulblade one - altho Soulblade messed up with the anamorphic flags so it shows in wrong aspect :D
Still the 2 best ones are Mei Ah and Soulblade imo.
Soulblade got some nice extras too. Dub & commentary track if i remember it right and some other stuff.
Thanks a lot guys, I appreciate the information.

I have been debating getting the Yuen Woo Ping collection mentioned above...but my mind is made up now.
Here's a comparison:

the aspect ratio can easily be corrected by going in you dvd players setup changing the display from 16.9 to 4,3.. this shows the film as it should be seen.
a quick fix

Plus Soulblade´s got nice extras (Toby Russell commentary, DM extra) and has not the blue tints on the latter part of the final fight that the Mei Ah has. I think Soulblade is better on that one

Soulblade has a tendency to use "dubtitles"- ie they don't buy the rights to the original subs, so they make subs out of the dub. This always turns out TERRIBLE. I haven't checked my copy yet, but I THINK they did here! The mei ah uses the original subs.
By the way, dragon dynasty has a tendency to make "new" english dubs- ratehr than buy the originals. They suck too- SEE last hurrah for chivalry.
I think I might look into the Yuen Woo Ping collection myself. Thanks all!

Picked this up yesterday!! I agree with what Morgoth wrote in his review that he linked up earlier in the thread.
I was scared knowing this was a Videoasia release that was actually good quality and great based on quantity of marital arts on display. :D

I got it myself yesterday, not bad for the 20.00 I spent. I watched "Taoism Drunkard"....a few good fight scenes, nothing spectacular though; I'd say an all around cool movie as long as you are into the Yuen Clan stuff.
