Update on Heroes Two Shipping Date

Richard York at MB told me that the ship date IS TODAY :). The product is DONE and SHIPPING :). If there is any delay it should short but most likely no more than a week.

Well it could also be the stores in putting the materials out. BB is notorious for being half assed or putting titles in the wrong section when non-majors come out.

Nope, its just the fact that non-AAA titles are give less priority by retailers and distro companies. I think this is just a first time thing keep in mind that a lot of stuff had to be finished pretty close to the deadline and await Celestial approval.

Never had this problem with the few Best Buy stores I've been to. Other than putting the wrong price on some movies (a good thing!) Perhaps they didn't receive the movie on the day they get their DVD shipments?

i wonder what the protocol is for situations like this. What i mean is, lets say bestbuy receives the shipment say tomorrow. Will they put it on the shelves tomorrow or wait next tuesday? Anybody have any inside scoop on that?

These were not majors either. The Anchor Bay releases of HELL OF THE LIVING DEAD and RATS. I had asked about another AB title that was supposed to have come out. The employee looked it up on the computer and found that it wasn't to be released for a few more days and that they would be fined something like $30,000 for selling the discs before there official release. Management confirmed this for me, too. This has happened on a number of times. I also managed to get away with it a number of times as well.

Well, as far as smaller releases, they don't always get them out on time and often not on shelves until two weeks or more after they have come out.

Not sure how they judge when to order shipments of discs. The Image discs for instance didn't come out in BB when they were released, at least not at the store nearest me.

I cant vouch on date of release(never gone on the day of) but i would say between 3-5 days after that its shown up at the best buys that i go to.

That's about right. Around 2 weeks I've seen in some cases for ones I was looking out for. Some I've seen on the day of.

I was kinda hoping CD-WOW might have it (even requested), but nothing and what's more, their 'dispatch' process was quite ropey a little while ago. I reckon I'll head to PlayUSA for mine unless someone here gets sick of it ;).

I was at F.Y.E and was told it was there, but still in the box from the shipment rec'd last night!! I almost asked them to go in the back and open the box please so I can get it...but was told to call later and verify when it was unloaded. stopped by the Virgin Megastore here in San Franciso, no dice. Virgin Mega online has it listed available, ready to ship in 24 hours, but nothing instore. one of the girls working there was nice enough to look it up on Amazon, which earlier this week wasn't listed, but now is available online.

So yeah...I called back to F.Y.E and was told what they had out in the store was the only version in stock. They show that a new version of Heroes Two came out, but had 0 on had and 0 on order. That left the "Red Sun" version. So I ordered it from Amazon!!!

Why is media blaster not doing something about the red sun version of Heroes Two? They are losing shelf space and sales because of those crappy red sun. Somebody from media blaster needs to contact fye, sun coast, etc.

I have no idea, but when I mentioned to F.Y.E that it was a bootleg copy...they basically said huh? I tossed in a nice little comment at the end by saying..."Yeah I'm surprised you guys sell this kind of stuff?" That was my own little shot. I hope there is something MB can do to Red Sun, but it may not be worth it to them in the long run.

Nope, it doesn't have to be MB or DD. It only has to be another version. Media Blasters has exclusive rights so it doesn't matter if its Celestial or PM, or United, etc.

I had mine on preorder for a few months, and it was on the same order as Come Drink With Me and Heroes of the East. Dragon Dynasty is a major distributor so it's easier for them to get shelf space then Media Blasters. I used to work for Wal Mart and we always had new dd titles on release day.

I looked up Fu Sheng and it shows this as coming out April and it's description is the same as Heroes Two plus it's by Tokyo Shock. Here's the links for your viewing pleasure:

That doesnt matter. If you go to store availability, its not showing up. I did this several times when i was at best buy. I combed all the racks. The case is very distinctive so i would have caught it, even if it was misplaced on a different rack. As for circuit city, i dont know bout anybody else, but their organization of dvds is a mess. Ive combed all their racks and its not there. Lesson learned, dont expect Best Buy or Circuit City to have it around release date.

Wow what an awesome DVD!! Picture and sound quality are amazing!! Also a nice touch from Media Blasters to include the "In Memory of Linn Hayes" at the end of the credits...very awesome and classy on their part.

On a humerous note when my wife saw the number 1 labeled on the side of the box she fipped out and said great...nother collection along with Dragon Dynasty that we'll just have to get every single release in order. I could only respond with...umm...yeah!!! :D

Mine had none. But Flash Point was there, and I got the last copy. It was at the front of the store in the new releases section, which is the first time I have ever seen a Dragon Dynasty release displayed in the new releases section at Best Buy.

I'm still waiting damn it (from Amazon Marketplace). PlayUSA are still out of stock, whilst I don't think CD WOW bothered at all. I wonder what's going on with the latter and their DVD business (a CD got shipped from there NP a few months ago, but everything else I had to cancel as it was taking too long with delays, etc).

I have a habit where I put subtitles on and watch the English dub at the same time. Seems more comfortable (even if it's ridiculous). I'm curious to hear Linn's commentary and as much as it's kinda tempting, I don't want an MP3 of it either ;)!
