To my Mom, who I lost on 4/11/08. She was a central part of my life, and the reason i'm here today. After a very long bout with an assortment of illness, she finally succumed to Cancer.
When I first purchased my PC back in April 2006, it was she who encouraged me to seek out some chat forums and learn my way aroung the Net. Not long after, I found this Forum after Googling Kung Fu Cinema. Now I'm here giving you guys crap.:)
I'd like to say it's refreshing chatting with so many from different parts of the world, and to share ideas/stories with everyone here. My mother taught me to be a man who sought challenges, and figure ways to overcome adversity, instead of making excuses for myself.
I've learned so much on my computer, and am learning more everyday, however, I always enjoy stopping by to read the threads here and participating in the various topics. You guys make things a great deal easier.
I don't want to take up too much of your space, only want to say I appreciate the outlet Kung Fu films have given me, and to be able to express myself here.

Thanks for being there for me, Mom...

...I LOVE YOU FOREVER!

Talking about mothers can never occupy too much space. I lost my father but I could not imagine what you must be going through losing your mother. They keep us striving, don't they.

My heart and prayers are with you, just make sure you do what you can to keep her memory alive and to make it through yourself.

My condolences Dragon. God forbid, but I don't know what I will do if my father ever pass away. Keep your head up and always know your mom is watching you from heaven.

I am new to this forum so i dont know most of you but i also lost my father coming up to a year ago the initial feeling that i had at the the time was that my heart had been smashed in to bits but you have to stay strong and remember the good times and you have to think that your mother is watching from heaven and that she would not like to see you in the distressed state that you are probably in so all i can add my friend is stay strong!!!

For the words of encouragement and sympathy. I truly feel this is a great place, being able to gain support throughout the Forum. I can't express my overwhelming spirit of comfort.

Thanks so much again, and God bless you people.

I'm sorry for your loss Dragon...my uncle died in 2005 of cancer and he was a major influence aside from my father on breaking me into kung fu films. Now that I think about it, if it hadn't been for both my dad and my uncle (his eldest brother), I wouldn't be here today as a kung fu film fan and editor here. Who knows what I'd be doing.

My sincerest condolences.

The Dragon: I'm really sorry for your loss. Losing a parent or any family member can be very hard, so I commend you for staying strong and say/type such touching things.
God bless you and your Mom.

Thank you all again for the kind words. I had the Memorial service yesterday, and managed to produce the entire services by myself, which a week earlier I had no idea how I'd pull it off. God's hands were totally wrapped around me...

Sorry to hear of your loss. My best wishes for the rocky months ahead. Just keep trudging along, in my experience it helps most to look toward the future and stay occupied as much as possible.

I'm sorry for your loss. But as many here have said, "Time will heal your sorrow". I too lost my mother and sister a couple of years ago both within months of each other. Although it was difficult at the time, it has gotten a little better. I think of them both every day and thank my lucky stars to have had them in my life. I'm sure things will get better for you. Just reflect on the good and cherish them.
