Hi,

My Cyberhome CH-DVD 300 player just broke a few minutes ago and I am looking to buy another dvd player.

I'm looking for one that is reliable and is easy to convert into a free region player so I can watch dvd from different region..etc..etc..

EDIT:
I just received my stimulas check and is now willing to pay around $100 to $120 for a nice DVD player that also plays dvd from different region.

Thank You

Do a search on here for dvd players or region free dvd players.
Get any philips dvd player. google online on how to break the region coding(enter in a few numbers in the menu/setup) and its region free. Got mine for 50 or 60 at the time.

You can get the Philips DVP5982/37 for under $50.
Region Free
Upconverting
Plays DivX, WMA, etc
USB Stick input.
It plays everything you throws at it.

They just came out with the newer version DVP5990/37, so a lot of store are clearance the 5982 out, I picked one up at Best Buy in-store for $27.99 - The only difference between the two are the 5982 is USB 1.1 & the 5990 is USB 2.0. How many people uses the USB?
