I mentioned in a thread below that I found a good place to buy Region 3 DVD's. I guess that's relative, because the average price is around 15.00. I got the link from a self proclaimed KF aficionado http://www.dddhouse.com/
But noticed they're missing a lot of stuff.

I've heard of HK Flix but they're average is about the same or 5 dollars more than DDDHouse depending on title. Is $10 or $15 US the going cost for Region 3 retails? Because I've seen threads where quality DVD's were being sold for 6 bucks.

if you buy more than 10 dvd from dddhouse.com, factoring in the shipping cost each dvd should be around 12.90. HKflix is a couple bucks more expensive but faster arrival.

That depends on where you live. I get my orders from dddhouse several weeks before I usually get from hkflix.

Oh wow. *drools* I think I just found my new dealer. $ 7.89 average price on unopened retail R3 Kung Fu titles. Requires Paypal account, but that's negligible for these prices. http://stores.ebay.com/DVDEAST_W0QQfsubZ16QQtZkm

Shipping cost - GBP 4.99 equals $9.88 US dollars

CDWow is free shipping.
YesAsia - Super Saver shipping: Free, Standard shipping $3.99

Whenever you buy anything from Ebay - check where it is coming from/location, customers feedback/reputation, shipping cost, insurance, etc.

You should alway check what your overall cost would be - factoring shipping, tax (if any), insurance etc.

Yeah I generally won't buy from anyone below a 90% buyer feedback rating, but I erroneously presumed free shipping.
Probably because the last 4 merchants I looked at were all free shipping (with prices around 12.00 - 15.00) Suddenly DDDHouse doesn't look so bad anymore *utside of the fact they seem to be missing a few classics I need.

I mainly order from YesAsia and Prooptiki (the only Bulgarian distributor which from time to time provide some martial arts movies)

I'm quite happy with both retail companies :)

Anyone in UK know what value of goods coming into the country do customs tax?

I heard that if it's over £18 or $18 customs will throw on tax... i want to know cos if i order from overseas company i rather not pay extra tax (pay enough tax as it is lol)

I've used buyoyo.com/ (http://www.buyoyo.com/) off and on for years (remember when they were dvdshelf.com and before that coolashop (or was that a different one)? I've also used most of the other shops already mentioned. Good prices, but the shippings a little stiff.

Good news about buyoyo. You can once again log into their site with firefox. For more than a year, when trying to sign in with firefox, firefox would generate an error (something to do with security protocols or something) and fail to login. I tried this afternoon, after noticing a site redesign, and logged in successfully with firefox.

Another shop I've used is dvdeast (http://www.dvdeast.com/). Also fivestarlaser.com (http://www.fivestarlaser.com/) and moviesville.com (http://www.moviesville.com/)
