First of all, I DON"T mean "I never got my discs."
However, I've been reviewing the "Traders to avoid" section, & I've seen a few where someone states that a trader's movies are "inferior", or of "poor quality".
What exactly does this mean? Does it mean the discs used were lousy "Staples", "Discount DVD-R", etc?
Were the movies themselves of poor quality (VHS transfers that the traders failed to mention rather than straight DVD's, etc)?
Was the video lousy, when there are LOTSA high quality sources available?
Were the discs scratched, etc?
My personal pet peave is the movie that I'm told is "Chinese language w/ subtitles"- which I prefer. BUT, when I get it, it's in Full Screen with burnt in sub's that are cut off, making them unreadable... and the movie virtually unwatchable.
>:
Comments please.

I don't think you understand how rare some of these movie's are. Some of these movie's we trade are no longer in print so the quality you get sometimes is the best that you are going to find. And 99.99% of them come from vhs.

When it comes to trading it is up to you and the person your trading with to ask the right questions about quality and if it is subbed or dubbed. Most of us who trade for rare movies understand that the quality on some of these movie's are as good as we are going to get, since most are out of print.
This Genre is very stressful at times, dealing with bad traders and bad sellers. But I keep trading to find those rare Kung Fu movies I don't have.. I love this Genre!!
Most on this site are good traders, and you can look on Bad Traders list to help you decide, rather you want to trade with that person or not. This forum is helping to make it easier for all of us....

I certainly understand that the more rare a title is, the poorer the quality is going to be. Personally, I've never had a problem receiving a VHS transfer. I'm just wondering what the other traders think.
I believe in great communication with other traders, & have had (for the most part) only GREAT trades from this site.

I think people complain too much.
Unless the trader has lied about something it's not worth bothering about.

people who use cheap-ass shipping.
by trading you are already saving alot of $$ ,.. so why ship cheap. i can understand overseas, but locally ?
under $6 to ship priority with delivery confirmation. some try to save pennies by not getting confirmation or upgrading to priority mail.
media mail ? unless you are great friends not in a rush and don't mind redoing all that work,.. perhaps ?
1st class mail ? maybe if it's a few dvds like 10 or less and both parties don't mind ,.. unless you use the postal machine ,.. the person behind the counter will not let you attach delivery confirmation to 1st class.
and myself ,.. i normally ship priority mail in a flat rate envolope ,.. w/ dvds wraped securely inside ,.. not going over 50 in a envolope.
take care. :D :hat :(

MY pet peave is when you trade with a partner and start chosing from the list and you start having to
CROSS off titles because the person ''allegedly'' does not ''have it anymore''. I can believe it with one
or two but Freaking 5 and 6 times... is BULLSHIT. Especially it's bullshit when it' happens on more
than one trade. Youll find a trader ''keeping one of the discs you really kind of wanted''. Im not sure if
it's a joke or just a personal hangup on the other traders part. Maybe it's a flaw coming to the surface
of some other true illness the person has. I buy most all the new titles so i know i have better movies
overall to choose from consistently. Dont be a prick. My other pet peave is when a trader has like 5 to
10 freaking discs that ''alla sudden he or she cant burn'' because they are Unrippable.... If you dont
have it on your list TAKE IT OFF!
Sheesh... lol, have to laugh at myself here... i wont say any names but you know who you are.
Whoever does this is a complete loser. You shall remain nameless. Other traders like to try and horde
all the rare stuff like i cant buy it all from someone else. Dont be so greedy... What bothers me about it
not that i cant get the movie from this person but the person is selfish!
Maybe i rather deal without then deal with a greedy person! Sure only 10 people were meant to see that
rare letterboxed version of a Don wong tao film or whatever lol... dont be a loser man! I can buy those dvd
from anyone.
Then theres the guy with the ''secret'' list.
He will go on only showing it to certain people and asking for screencaps of other peoples dvd's before
your even able to move to the next step. Screencaps of the movies menu's and video etc. Is this a joke?
Is this guy kidding me? Ive NEVER had anyone ask me for a freaking screenshot of a movie before...
Wait... is this for real? This guy is pulling my chain right? This is mister secret rare kung fu movie...?
That'S the way it's supposed to be done? Huh?? Wait... What did i miss? LOSER!
Anyways if you guys want some rare kung fu movies i reccomend you go to WHITETIGERNY'S
Site www.kungfuheaven.wetpaint.com (http://www.kungfuheaven.wetpaint.com) That guy is the man and will not charge you BS royalty
price for his movies. His movie choices are really great and the man is Very nice and always fair.
