When I mean One Hit Wonders, I mean actors in martial arts movies who appeared in basically just one MA movie. Can you think of any???

Ng Kwan-Lung - star of SNAKE DEADLY ACT. He had a perfect side kick technique. And he was really good in the film in the lead.

Brandon Gaines - star of SUPERFIGHTS, directed by Tony Leung Siu-Hung. He was a 3rd-degree black belt in karate. Apparently, according to an interview with Leung, Gaines had trouble adapting to the HK style of choreography.

Reese Madigan - star of AMERICAN SHAOLIN.He was a black belt in Shotokan Karate and had experience in the theater. He's done a non-MA film but mainly works in the theater these days.

The costar of The Big Showdown. I've only seen him in this one movie and his fighting skills are very strong

Kurt Mckinney who played Jason Stillwell in No Retreat/No Surrender, can't think of any other MA flick he was in. The dude had some nice spinning kicks, especially in his finale fight with Van Damme.

Kurt McKinney I thought was a 1-hit wonder also, until I heard he was in the Cynthia Rothrock film SWORN TO JUSTICE and he gets to fight in the film. Have yet to see it.

McKinney almost got the lead role in AMERICAN NINJA back in 1985, but Menahem Golan said he was too young. McKinney was 21 at the time. He was later offered to star in AMERICAN NINJA 3-6 (but they went up to 5), but he didn't feel comfortable shooting all the films in South Africa.

How do I know this??? I read a 1994 interview with McKinney in an issue of MASTERS OF KUNG FU Magazine

Interesting, thanks for the info Albert. I would like to see Sworn to Justice as well to see how McKinney looked in that, he showed alot of promise in No Retreat. Seems like I remember seeing him in a soap opera back in the early 90's as well, maybe General Hospital? I remember being suprised to see him on that show thinking hey, that's the dude that fought Van Damme!

Prepare to be disappointed with Sworn To Justice. Really bad movie. But it does have Rothrock naked.

Bob Baker from Fist of Fury was kind of a one hit wonder. Only other movie I saw him in was Kung Fu of Taekwondo, which is awful.

I cant believe that dude is sporting the same hairstyle from NRNS 1.
How about Jacky Chen from 'Of Cooks & Kung Fu'.He does a cartwheel to a double front somersault!Thats 2 flips without wires.
