Good list, I would choose most - though not all on my top 10 but definately on my top 25 "new classic".

"I don't give a Damn what Samuel Jackson thinks, and I hope he burns in hell!"

:D

Just joking, been trying to find an excuse to ad-lib his classic line!
His list is an impressive one.

The Duelist was good? Looked like a cgi wirefest.

The Duelist was good? Looked like a cgi wirefest.

I thought the DUELIST sucked. I saw it at the Toronto film festival and the director was thee. I felt bad, but I didn't want to stay for the Q&A for something that I thought was crap. So I walked up to him, shook his hand, and said "Hi, nice to meet you. I loved NOWHERE TO HIDE!" and I split.

Hey, I love great visuals. But that's all this was. It felt so empty, and lacking in every other department. My friend was telling me- "That's the point with this movie. That's what he was going for. Style over substance." Okay, it worked then. But it sucked. :l

It's a period piece, but there's a scene in it that's shot like it's in a US football game. If this was a Stephen Chow movie, then that's fine. But it just felt like a big bungle in the middle of a film that was otherwise completely different in tone. My friend sent me a copy and told me to give it another try. Maybe I will... one day.

Well then, that's what I thought the movie would be like from the trailer, shame it looked like it had potential.
