Hi all, I'm an artist that recently started selling prints of my artwork on eBay. I'm almost finished creating a "Five Venoms" set- 3 are for sale now (Snake, Centipede, and Toad), two more will be up in the next few days, and the final one is in the works. There are also LONE WOLF AND CUB prints and some other stuff forum readers should like. Here's a link:
http://search.ebay.com/_W0QQsassZnunchakubeast
I'm also willing to trade for movies. If you're interested in any of my stuff, let me know and I'll give you a "want list". Thanks.

I will take all three five venoms prints and take the other two when you are done. Here is my list but give me your e-mail
and i will send you my real tradelist because this is only some of the titles. Your art is outstanding. By the way i hope it's 1st
come first serve here. I am the first one to respond but if you choose to trade with someone else good luck with your art...

You are indeed first, and I would not anger the cub of The Man (er... wolf). But I'm selling/trading (high quality) prints of my art- not the originals, so there are more to go around.
Thanks for the compliments too. I'm looking forward to seeing your trade list.

Do you take art requests? If you do I would like one of the image below. Large one for my room and a smaller one for my office space.
Let me know and we can work something out.

First of all- I love WOLF DEVIL WOMAN. It's one of my favorite cheesy/terrible movies. In fact, I've even left messages on a friend's phone saying "I'm the Devil Man!"
Where did you find that image? I've looked for the original poster and could never find it.
Of course I'm willing to take requests, that's basically what an artist does for a living. But usually I'm being paid to paint a stranger's portrait or something less fun that film posters. So let me clarify:you want me to re-draw this same picture so you have it nice and clear, and you'd like 1 large, and 1 small print of it? I would certainly be willing to do it, but it would have to be for pay, not trade. The prints I already have I'm willing to use for trading. But to do a piece from scratch would take time out of my work schedule and I've got to keep paying the bills. PM me and we'll discuss the details.

Great job! My favourite is probably the centipede. I might pick that up.

Thanks Brother! That's my favorite too. But the way the Lizard is coming along, my fave just might change.
So far I've started work on two different forum member's dream art pieces. And I'm lovin' it. This is my kind of clientele! I never want to paint another picture of ______ (fill in the blank with random water fowl) flying in front of a sunset again! Bring on the FU!

Wow! Your drawing skills is unbelievable. How much do your charge for a custom painting?
If the price is reasonable, I have a few pictures in mind.

It depends mainly on how long the project will take me. Whether it's something very complex, with multiple images, or just a portrait. Let me know what you have in mind, the size, and if you have a preferred medium you'd like it done in. PM me when you get a chance.

I've finished the last of my FIVE VENOMS paintings (excluding the 6th student variant piece that's still to come). I could pick it apart a little, but I'm pretty happy with it.

Indeed excellent. I am considering getting one of the prints. You should consider farming yourself out to some of these DVD companies- your art and style is far better IMO than that Photoshopped/ywelow haze crap that seems the rage these days.
I don't know why media blasters, image, or BCI doesn't get you to do their covers... Someone make it happen.

Hey guys, thanks for all the compliments! I'm going to have to take up "Iron Neck" training to hold up this swollen head of mine.
Anyone that's interested in getting any of these prints should PM me.
Don't hassle with eBay. You have to wait through the auctions, plus they take a big bite out of my paycheck!
The prints aren't expensive, and I ship stuff out fast.
Check out this pick from one of my very favorite days ever... :D

Quite a few people that got the prints have asked if there's a pre-determined sequence they're meant to be in. Yes. Here's how they were meant to be arranged...
BTW, thanks to everyone who purchased these for your support of my little art habit!:D

I can't get better feedback on my kung fu movie artwork than from kung fu movie fans, so I created a poll. I want to do more pieces based on these movies I love, and the results of this poll will help me to know what looks best to everyone. I hope you vote. I'm really curious to see which one will win out over the others. Thanks! :D

I had to vote for the Toad, the green really cops off, was that Lo Mang in Philly holding up that print?
Yup, that's him.
I created this Toad drawing (and one of Lo from INVINCIBLE SHAOLIN) specifically for the event in Philly. I drew them so that people would have something cool to get autographed. Some people remember to bring DVDs, posters, et., but plenty of people at this kind of event wind up forgetting to bring something, and using napkins and what-not. So I drew something that I knew I would want signed and hanging.
I got to present the Man himself with both pieces of art. I figured he'd just smile, and hand them off to someone. I mean, you'd think he sees this kind of fan stuff all the time. But to my surprise he was very excited. He said he was going to hang them in his living room and would "treasure them"! We talked for a bit, took pictures together (he requested that we hold the art in the pics), and he signed some prints for me. It was one of those very good days, you know? :D
When I got home I showed my wife that scene from INVINCIBLE SHAOLIN (also one of my favorites) and said "You see this guy? I was just hanging with him, talking, and giving him my art". I was thrilled. He performed a mantis routine there too. I was standing ten feet away from him watching. He's still in fantastic shape, his skills were impressive, and he was extremely nice to everyone. I'll never forget that day. ;)
Here's the INVINCIBLE SHAOLIN one. I drew it with a big space for his signature, so without it, it looks really unbalanced. I'm actually re-working it right now to fix that, adding more background images of him on the right side.
I had so many requests from people that bought my art at the event to do the rest of the FIVE VENOMS cast, so I went ahead and did it.
Hmmmmm- I couldn't attach the pic. Got a note that the site is having a problem. I'll try again later to attach it.

I'm so envious. Lo Meng seems like such a cool guy, and his southern mantis style is unique in the kung fu cinema, which makes him one of my definite favorites.

There's going to be a DVD of the event put out by Rick Hopkins (the man who made it happen) so you can at least see Lo Mang getting his award, doing his demo, and all that good stuff. It's been over a year now since the event though, and I still haven't heard any word of it's release. I'll find the address for Rick's website and paste it here later so you can keep an eye out for it.

Yeah Man- I'm glad you dig it Ekisha! ;)
I absolutely do custom projects, and will be doing more things along these lines. The summer is a busy time for me, and I'm already in the middle of several pieces. But as soon as school starts and my wife and son are gone for the day I will get a lot of uninterrupted time for artwork.
If anyone has any requests though, I'm listening.

These are really fantastic - glad you used really vibrant colors... they're incredibly eye-catching!
definitely going to grab some off of eBay
How about a series from Legendary Weapons of Kung Fu that shows all the classic actors in the film along with the weapons used. Some of those old weapons are absolutely the vicious looking but are mind-blowingly cool!

i think these would sell as posters:
FLYING GUILLOTINE - with the words "Protect your neck!"
KID WITH THE GOLDEN ARMS - must show Big Axe & Small Axe, they were too cool
MASTER KILLER
SENTIMENTAL SWORDSMAN
FLAG OF IRON
BRAVE ARCHER
just my small opinion

Good suggestions guys! Keep 'em coming.
I currently have planned pieces for the following:
THE STREETFIGHTER
EIGHT DIAGRAM POLE FIGHTER
LEGENDARY WEAPONS OF KUNG FU
BRUCE LEE
And I had been thinking about a Hwang Jang Lee drawing too. But I figured that would be a really self-indulgent project. I never knew just how popular he was among fans until I started reading this forum. A "tribute" kind of piece featuring many different action shots would be ideal for him imo.

That would be a nice piece KUNG FU BOB, I'll definitely buy a copy once you're done.
A quick suggestion, it would be really cool if you could draw the three greatest on screen kickers (IMO):
Hwang Jang Lee
Tan Tao Liang
Casanova Wong

Casanova Wong is the guy who can touch his head with his leg ? ,..lol
yeah ,. he's one of my favs
but you have to remember the females too,.. it would be nice to make a co-loge of the famous Shaw bros. Fatal Females ! ,.. yeah and you mentioned Streetfigher,.. what about a companion to that,.. with the Sister Streetfighter ,.. she was just my type ,..lol
if i was not 2 years old back then ,..lol
take care bob
DAMNN !! Bob i just had an artistist idea big guy !,.. it would be knock out with 1 poster Sonny Chiba in RED Kungfu outfit / background white and 2nd poster Sister Street fighter in her white kungfu gear with Red background ,... OUCH!! i'll buy that for sure !!
and some how when the two pic connect ,.. it will combined a slogan that if sold seperatly can stand alone on each poster,.. ahhh crazy huh?

Dazzizzarizza- those are some interesting ideas. :)
Question though- Was there a film where you saw Chiba wearing a red gi? I can't recall seeing anything like that.
As for the ladies... Michelle Yeoh has always been my favorite, closely followed by my "Young Auntie". The latter would of course appear in the artwork I planned out for LEGENDARY WEAPONS and EIGHT DIAGRAM.
Speaking of LWoKF, I really like Gaijin84's multiple poster idea.

Okay, so I was going through some reference pictures for a new piece I'm working on, and I saw these pics and thought I'd try to post them again.
The one with the big empty space is the original. It was made under extreme circumstances (no sleep for days, drawn in one epic, marathon session, all at the same time I was helping a friend shoot his first film in NYC), and I was definitely not completely satisfied with it. However, after the Lo Meng event, with no signature to fill that space it looked much worse- horribly unbalanced. So I enlarged the image a little and moved it over (that's the one pictured), but still- blah. So I eventually reworked it into the vision I'd originally had in mind for the piece. Now I'm happy!
If anybody's interested in buying one, I'll give you forum brothers a nice price- $15.00 (and that includes shipping). The prints are on nice, heavy duty, 11x17 glossy paper. If you're interested shoot me a pm.

I just got the 5 Venoms set of artwork that Bob has done and all I can say is the man has some SERIOUSLY AWESOME artistic skills!!!
They look the business and as soon as I sort things out they are going to be framed and hung on my wall.
If you know someone that wants a Christmas present or fancy treating yourself to an early Christmas gift then I would highly recommend getting your mitts on these pieces of artwork.
Just want to thank Bob for signing them and making a personal dedication on one of the pieces to me at my request. You my friend are a scholar and a gent!! ;)

You might want to ask Bob about the way he arranges them, i believe he told me once they were designed to be
arranged specifically in an pre-conceived pattern. I forgot the pattern sorry, they look good no matter how you
put them though. Heh, i believe we've all taken advantage of Kung Fu Bob's great talents. He's also very genuine.
Can't wait to frame my set, not sure what frame to buy though. Highly Recommended...

Hey guys, thanks very much for the kind words! I sure appreciate the support. :D
And I also have to send a big shout out to Daigoro who's been waiting a loooong time for the 6th Student "variant" piece to be created so he can add it to his Venoms art collection. It's finished, and now I'm just waiting (impatiently) for the gentleman who creates the prints of my work to call and say they're ready. I'll post a picture of this one, but not until after Diagoro receives his in the mail. He deserves to see the piece first before anyone else, since he made a deal with me for it, and several others, back when it was still only in the planning stages! Thanks for your patience and trust -you won't be disappointed. :nerd:
As for their hanging order... I posted a picture of their arrangement order earlier in this thread if anyone wants to see it.
