early remake of sanjuro

correct me if im wrong, but yojimbo came first, however sanjuro was a novel that was adapted by kurosawa to make it a sequel.

best remake of that film came a few years later with tatsuya nakadai (forgive spelling) in a film called kiru. very comical and the action was gold. anyone see this? its a goodin'

It isn't a remake of it because it was based on the same novel. Not the film Kurosawa made. Therefore it's a separate adaptation of the same material.

And for the record, I believe Sanjuro is superior to Yojimbo.

Kill! is great, Okamoto in general is pretty underrated in the general landscape of Japanese film known in the us.
