Hardly worth posting three times.

But to clear up the matter.

Originally I intended on throwing them in the bin but then I realised that just because I wouldn't watch them didn't mean nobody else would. Some traders might be happy at just owning any copy regardless of the quality. So I put them up for trade. No point in wasting the discs if someone would want them. The only one I watched was LOVERS' BLADES: the only one that IMHO was at all watchable (picture was at best tolerable). I still lost out because I wasn't able to see these movies so I don't know whom I'm supposed to be conning? I sent you TWO original DVDs which you happily took knowing you were sending me inferior product. I didn't slag you off for trading rares - why would I? In fact I was very polite and accomodating about it. Willing to accept replacements rather than drag your name thru the mud. Shame you refuse to show me the same courtesy and act like a child instead (complete with wonky typing skills). I could've been harsher with you since you in fact lied to me about the quality. Numerous times I specified that any title -rare of not - must have English subs. TWO of the titles you sent didn't. Even though you confirmed otherwise. I also requested no camcorder jobs or shaky/blurry images. THREE of the titles sent were such. You effectively duped me but like a mug I let you away with it and THIS outburst is how you repay me?? Sorry but you've just shown yourself up. I never sent "nasty messages". Far from it and if you want to repost what I did say. Go ahead. Prove I said anything nasty. A lot of people don't trade rares because they're precious about it. I'm not asking for anything special. I'm being honest: the titles I'm trading are crap quality. Says so in my post. If you'd been as honest as me in the first place we never would've traded. Yet you call me out as the bad guy? What a laugh. And you didn't at any time ask me not to re-trade those titles so that's another lie. If you had I would've sent them back to you instead. Not sure what you have against me re-trading? Maybe the idea that it spoils it for traders who want to ripoff by asking for too much in return? I'd give them all away for free just to make a point. I REALLY don't give a s'hit about all this pretentious collector's bulls'hit. But then I'd just be cutting off my nose to spite your face. houndslow those are some posts you made. sometimes there are things during trading that happen that one or both people
involved will not like, it happens. markgway was probably pissed and with good right. even though those are rare titles which
are probably going to be inferior in quality he ended up recieving material that was barely even watchable. he never said your
name so it was not a personal attack even though it might have felt like one. he may have been blowing off a little stream by
trying to get rid of the discs but that's it. nobody knew anything until you came and three times tried to sum up how you felt
what should have been covered once. in pm not here. Both of you are good guys you will both be over it real soon. one last
word of advise dont let this distract you because it will try to. it curious how such a small thing can try and vie for so much

It's ironic that the only one of the six titles you sent that was remotely watchable was one that I hadn't asked for. I'm glad you did send it though, otherwise I would've had nothing positive to say. And under normal circumstances I would've been thankful and gracious - but since the films I did ask for were unwatchable I didn't feel in the mood to offer undue praise. Surely you understand?

Fact is: you didn't send what I requested - what I clearly and repeatedly asked for. It was as if you ignored everything I said and hoped that throwing in two extra discs (one acceptable) would keep me quiet. Did I run to complain on the board? No. Did I slag you off in public? No. I messaged you and we were in the process of sorting out a replacement package. But you've ruined it. I even said I would trade again with you once the replacments were sorted. That's how reasonable I was being.

So what if I decided to offer the discs instead of binning them? Once a disc has been traded all rights are handed over. I don't see why you would be against a re-trade unless you think that only certain collectors should get to see them - an elitist practice which I've local been vocal against. If you'd asked I would've sent the rares back to you - but I figured it would be better to pass them on to someone who hasn't seen them and is willing to accept their (major) flaws. I've made it clear on my thread about how bad the quality is. I won't lie or mislead. Not my style.

As for my complaints about the films not being subbed... had I not mentioned it umpteen times before we traded I would've been far more lenient (and as it stood I was lenient). I could've been very angry at being duped but instead I chose to remain calm and sort the situation out amicably. That is until you brought it out into the open.

Reading various threads about these rares scattered across the forum made me realise that these discs would find a home elsewhere. To throw them out - which was my initial kneejerk reaction - would be depriving someone else. Am I wrong? I wasn't trying to hide the fact from you. If I was I'd hardly have posted openly on this forum would I?

Of the six films you sent I was able to watch one and only one. You've got some front in accusing me of anything duplicitous to be honest. I never asked for six replacements only four - for the original titles. Didn't seem fair to ask for replacements for bonuses.

By saying 12 titles it sounds like a lot until you delete the five that were no good. Then the two phantom replacements I never even asked for. Minus seven that leaves five. Four replacements for the four originals I couldn't watch - and the one good bonus. And since you haven't sent any replacements. That leaves just the one. That's right. 12 down to 1. Those are real terms and it puts a different complexion on the matter.

Sure I would get more titles in from retrades just as you could retrade the original DVDs I sent - so what? What you do with them is none of my business - and vice versa. I also resent the implication that I'm at fault because you grossly overpaid for a poor quality bootleg. How on earth is that my fault? That you paid £20 to FLK for one bootleg title says more about your judgement (or lack thereof) than my trading abilities.

It's worth reiterating that these DVD-Rs were copies and you still possess the "originals" they came from. You've lost absolutely nothing. It's very sad that it came to this. It never need have happened but you chose the path and I have no choice but to follow. We've both said our peace. Let the forum make up its own mind.

I've asked no one to "fight my battles" and have actually refused the offer of backup at least once. All the animosity is coming from your side not mine. I wanted to sort this in private. Too late for that now. If you wanted those discs back rather than for me to pass them on you should have said so. Everyone here knows I'm not precious about rares and will retrade anything I don't want to keep. Forget about the four replacements we were in the process of organizing. I don't care. It's not important to me. They're only disposible discs. End of.
