Anybody watch this? I saw this @ Best Buy yesterday but haven't read much reviews on it to make a decision to buy it or not.

I've seen it. Probably not what you'd expect if you've seen any previous Kore-eda films, and its not really packed with action, its more of a period comedy. Our hero is a pretty hopeless samurai who for the sake of his family's honour has to go and kill some badass dude. But since he sucks at the fighting and really just wants to be a teacher he hangs out in this crappy Edo neighbourhood putting off the inevitable, and falls for a nice widow, teaches some kids, helps put on a play, etc.
One of the themes (which is used as a running gag as well as a counterpoint to our hero's dilemna) is that there are a bunch of other revenge-seeking samurai hiding out there and shirking their own vengeance - members of the Chushingura 47 ronin. I found the film very funny and enjoyable although lots of people seem to find it boring.
