After the moderate success of his film debut, The Marine, WWE Superstar John Cena has wrapped production of his next film, 12 Rounds. Directed by Renny Harlin (Die Hard 2), Cena plays Detective Danny Baxter, a cop in New Orleans who learns an evil crime lord has kidnapped his girlfriend. Searching the streets of New Orleans, he intends to take the crime lord down and rescue his girlfriend. The film co-stars Ashley Scott (Birds of Prey, Walking Tall), Brian J. White (D.O.A.: Dead or Alive), Aiden Gillen (Shanghai Knights), and Steve Harris (Diary of a Mad Black Woman)

12 Rounds is set for release on March 13, 2009 from Fox Atomic Pictures and WWE Films.

The Marine was hysterically entertaining the best 80s tradition, I expect nothing less from this

The plot sounds similar to The Marine. I watched The Marine last night and I thought it was complete crap. Hopefully 12 Rounds will be alot better.

I will go out on a limb and GUARANTEE that this will almost suck as bad as "The Marine". Who knows, maybe even more!
