If I burn a movie to DVD at 4x on a DVD-R that has a maximum of 8x would that somehow curb allowance for data loss and
Layer-break issues? I’ve burned DVD'S before at a max of 16x on 16x Discs and well… I could not help but notice that I had to
Chuck 1 out of three of those movies in the bin. I don’t usually use 16x media, I use 8x Taiyo Yuden most all of the time but could
I get some advice if it would be better if I burned those same movies that I burn at 8x at 4x. I have not had that unfortunate exp
of a Taiyo Yuden disc ever breaking down ( at 8x) besides once but if it's all the same i thought i would ask the "experts" out there.
In the long run i would rather have my collection safe, Taiyo Yuden is supposed to be Archival grade media but you never really
know how long they last. Although they claim 25 Years DVD-R media has not even been around what 12? How presumptuous of them.
