I watched this last night, it started off abit slowly but once it got going, wow, the last fight was a complete blinder, the excessive slo-mo didn't really detract from the fight, it was still a superb fight scene.

One thing I've always found funny is how the villain is almost superhumanly unstoppable and it takes the hero and his friend/s to stop him, I know this isn't the case with every kung-fu movie but it's still funny to watch when it happens. John Liu is a fantastic kicker, the white haired guy at the end was awesome with his tiger claw and invulnerable body.

I watched the dubbed version for those that care.

Yeah good fil and i love a bit of slo-mo so went down a treat with me. Philip Kao is the white haired villain and puts in a great performance as does john Liu. Poor bloke being put in that cage with all the clanging...no wonder he kicked some major ass after that hehe

I never did like this one very much, can't quite put my finger on why cos its not a bad film but it just never grabbed me. Chia Kai is always worth a watch, even in Of Cooks and Kung Fu :D

That clanging was bloody irritating tho

I had this film on VHS many years ago. I'm wondering if Chia Kai is who I'm thinking of... any photos that anyone could go through the trouble of posting.

If I'm remembering correctly, near the end John Liu or his buddy are locked in a hanging cage? and one or the other come to rescue the other? Is Chia Kai in the 10 Brothers Of Shaolin as young masters servant?

I actually got the name wrong, it's Chai Kai and he plays John Liu's friend who helps him at the end.

I didn't like this movie very much but i thought Chia Kai's role as John Liu's loyal servant was brilliant. I love the way he tries to take all of Phillip Ko's blows in the final fight and also tries to set Liu up for his attack.
