Anybody picked up or seen the new Director's cut DVD of "Dark City"? One of my all time favs, just wondering if its worth up-grading to the new DVD. And does it actually add any new footage that changes/adds to the film? I thought I read a while back that the new cut just removed the opening commentary. Thus leaving the film a bit more mysterious.

What up Ozzy, long time no see! I thought maybe one of your mountainous stacks of trades fell over leaving you trapped and helpless, never to be heard from again....HA!

I own this one... Apart from the narration that's been removed from the beginning (wich is a very good thing), most of the changes are very subtle... I hardly noticed any changes, but I have to admit I hadn't watch the movie for a while. I read that most of the changes consist of longer dialogs, or different camera angles for a given scenes. There a couple things here and there I noticed, but nothing that really changes the movie. The picture and sound are flawless, or at least very good. Is it worth an upgrade? Haven't seen the first DVD release since I owned this on VHS and I've been waiting for the dir. cut for a while... Apart from pic. and sound quality, I'd say it's as much an improvement as Blade runner the final cut over Blade runner the director's cut...

I was disappointed with the new Blade Runner release, especially when I found out thet they have the exact same run time.
