OK I got to see this movie last night and while the storyline about how the Zombies were brought back to life was cool. And whats' not to like about Hot Asian Chicks slicing & dicing Zombies away. The film was just OK worth a rental at the least, some of the CGI really wasn't all that good.

I almost bought this movie but then I remembered how bad the game was. I saw another movie called Samurai Princess on the shelf, looked mildly interesting but I've never heard of it.

Samurai Princess is from the same people who did The Machine Girl and Tokyo Gore Police. I think the guy who wrote those two is the director. If you enjoyed them then you might like it, as the humour is in the same vein, but as a film its considerably worse, with much lower production values and budget, the same crappy sfx but less of them, and terrible acting that makes Onechanbara look Oscar-worthy.

This is one of those films where every villainous character has to do the crazy bad guy laugh every single time he appears onscreen. And also lick his weapon. I mean, what is with the weapon-licking? Sure if you've got a cool-looking knife maybe you want to lick it every once in a while until you cut your tongue and know better, but a guy with a pickaxe standing there licking it for a couple of minutes? Couldn't he buy a doughnut if he's that hungry?

I absolutely hated it BTW, I found it stupid and unfunny and completely boring, but I'm sure that a lot of people will like it.

The cgi was so cheesy it left a bad taste in my mouth and I ended up just getting my money back to get something else. They really need to stop ruining movies with really cheesy, bad cgi. If your going to use CGI in movies, at least make it look good instead of totally ruining the film.

I agree. The best things about this film are the poster art and the concept. But the filmmakers didn't do much with it. How can you make a movie like this and not deliver a completely entertaining action romp? It was mildly entertaining at best. Highly derivative, with so-so action, boring characters, despicable CGI, and no soul what-so-ever. I'm glad a friend lent it to me, and that I didn't spend money buying it. Which I probably would have done... because of the cool poster/DVD cover art.

I bought this at best buy and watched up until the first half and the dvd stopped playing. It had a big nasty scratch on it when I opened it new, and I returned it. Your money was better spent on something else. You didn't miss anything!

To stare at the cool art and come up with better ways to make a movie based on that poster than what the filmmakers came up with! Oh yeah... and to be out $20.00 better spent on almost anything else in the store... :xd:
