This is coming out next month..Finally get to see it in a good quality..
I have this but its really a fight to sit through since the quality is really bad..
The butterfly knive form in the beginning is superb..Main actor is the Pops nephew Lau Kar Yung,Kar yungs real mother Pops older sister plays the lady with the spots in the face..
What ur thoughts on this film ?

This is possibly my last must-have film from Celestial.
I think it was 7 who got me interested in this one though I have yet to see it.

I'm pretty sure, Liu Chia Liang is Liu Chia Yung's brother. That's what the different sources I have, have always stated anyhow. They could be erroneous

You guys are mixing dialects. Lau Kar Leung's brother is Lau Kar Wing. Lau Kar Yung is his nephew.

The confusion is the Lau Kar Wing (cantonese) is Liu Chia Yung in mandarin.

But Liu Chia Liang is Liu Chia Yung's brother right?

Yes but the person in Tigress of Shaolin is not his brother it is his nephew Lau Kar Yeung (Liu Chia ?) aka Franky Lau, not sure the mandarin as I only know some cantonese.

Hui Ying Hung has given very little to do in this.Mentioning Shaolin in title bit misleading,there is few monks around though...Interestingly Yang family is namechecked and 8-diagram pole style practiced.

1st hour or so is pretty bad but after that it becomes lot better.

Not must-have anyway.....
