For me that was one of the worst he did. I quite enjoyed Rob B Hood a lot more.

Looks like the film is going to be well worth the wait.

I'm glad to see Chan doing a film like this again. I might be just as gripping as "Crime Story."

Woah this film looks like it has some meat to it, can't remember the last time I was looking forward to a Jackie movie.

This looks like the type of film Jackie should have been making these past few years. I can finally look forward to a Jackie Chan film again!

Yeah i share the feelings same as all of you. This is the first film of his I have really been excited about since "New Police Story". Always appreciated him since he was my first introduction to this genre aside from Bruce Lee, but it's been disappointing having none of his films to look forward to. This one more than makes up for all of the years waiting.

If this is the direction of film's he's going to take, I'd rather take a trilogy of this than "Rush Hour 4", "Spy Next Door" and that "Karate Kid" remake.

this film should be a lot better than New Police Story. NPS was quite good, and definitely entertaining, but Derek Yee's films always have something more, a real sense of human drama and emotions. Benny Chan excells at the commercial action films for certain, and his last several films have all succeded at this (with the exception of maybe Divergence). but Derek Yee is really a far better director, and he is also great with the crime genre. for those who aren't familiar with his work, I'd suggest watching People's Hero, One Nite in Mongkok, and Protege to get a feel for what Shinjuku Incident might be like. and those are only his crime films!

Derek Yee's pretty much versatile, at least those he has ventured into. I'm positive that he won't screw things over with TSI.

Saw it earlier today. As a Derek Yee follower, it was yet another (albeit a bit flawed) great movie from him. As for Jackie, I consider this to be his best acting performance since Crime Story.

I watched this last night, and although I liked the movie, I felt the characters were underdeveloped, and that the movie could have benefited from another 1/2 hour. The story itself had a great pace until the las 1/2 hour, and then it seemed to stuff a lot of story into the remaining time.

But, Derek Yee pulled something out of Jackie. I didn't once feel as though Jackie was trying too hard, or over acting. Derek Yee is the shit.

Yeh it should have been longer near the end.

I totally agree with you man. Even 15 minutes more to fill out the last half hour would have been perfect.

It was weird seeing JC doing some of the stuff he does in this. Kind of like watching an old friend that you thought you knew, suddenly shocking you with some outrageous behavior. But it gave the film even more impact.
