hi everyone, first time on this forum or any forum. i am an avid collector of all the great shaw bros film , my personal fav is avenging eagle.
what i am looking for is the same style boots worn in the period kung fu films. i've found similar boots on other websights, but they are not the same as the ones used in the shaw bros films.
let a dude know if you have any info.

Hey Avenging Eagle, welcome to the forum. ;)

As far as I know they don't make these boot anymore. My advice to you is to contact your nearest college that has classes on fabric and costume design. Ask the instructors if they can recomend any good current or recent students that could fabricate something like this from scratch. The students are usually really gung ho about trying new stuff, and certainly wouldn't charge as much as a professional designer or boot maker. Just a thought. Good luck.

thanks for the help, but i have found a place that will make these boots to spec (such as cotton soul or rubber soul). and i found another place that will make the exact same boot i am looking for. www.stylishcn.com,and www.china-cart.com. its taken me a long time to finde these. to bad shaws stoped making them.

these boots run about 100-120 dollars. if you get a chance go check out the websights they are pretty cool. the boots at www.china-cart.com are the peking opera boots with the thick cotton soul and they will customize the soul for you. and the boots from www.stylishcn.com are the tall kung fu boots with a spade desighn on the toe and heel and come with rubber soul.

I have been searching for kungfu white boots too. I heard from a hong kong actor that you have to custom-made in hong kong. You can try www.chinesekungfuhustle.com. Some taiwan and china websites produce kungfu boots too but their workmanship is not too good.
