No Hong Kong film festival at Gene Siskel Theaters

I'm not sure how many people here are from Chicago but I'm sad to report that the annual "Hong Kong Film Festival" at the Gene Siskel Theater is not happening this year. Typically it's throughout February but they've decided not to do it this year. I went to a film last year and only a handful of people were there. It's sad because the years prior used to have a ton of people go. Hopefully they're reconsider next year.

I'm from the Windy City and that is a shame.... I try to support these films as much as I can, whenever I can, and it's not pleasant to hear this news.

One of these days I'm going to recommend that The Music Box do a month where they have "Kung Fu Sundays" where they show a classic kung fu film on Sunday.
