OK, I haven't checked if anyone has made a review on "Finishing the Game" but here's mine:

" Finishing the Game ", a mockumentary of a bunch rising actors and one kung fu star trying to replace Bruce Lee in " The Game of Death ". The movie is directed by Justin Lin, the director who did " Better Luck Tomorrow " & " Fast & Furious: Toyko Dift ". The first scene of the movie, to me, was priceless! But truthfully, the rest of the movie though funny, wasn't what I expected...I wasn't expecting epic a martial art movie, but maybe a better, longer, ending. The movie runs for 84 minutes, as long as a old B-movie. James Franco makes a cameo appearance, and so does legendary vintage porn star Ron Jeremy. If you watch the special features there is another character among the main three who compete to get the role, his name is " Toby ". Though, I know it would be side tracking in the story line, but ad least it would make the movie longer. For the comdey and the funny Bruce Lee references a I give it a....3.5/5

Agreed - every funny part was in the trailer. Very disappointing.

Not at all, I thought the film was funny all the way through. It wasn't so much in your face funny but I thought it was an excellent and quirky little independent film that hasn't got half the recognition it deserves.
Were you guys expecting another Kung Pow or something?

Yeah I got to watch this movie last night and there were a few funny scenes but overall a very stupid movie! The best part was when they were auditioning for the part and reading there lines.

I thought it was awful. Comedy made by people who aren't funny.

Not only was it not funny, it was all the worse for the fact that it didn't even know its own subject. The movie claims that all Bruce Lee made was 12 minutes of footage for Game of Death. Anyone who knows even a little bit about Game of Death knows that isn't true.

12 minutes was all that showed up on Clouse's Game of Death. So apparently, the movie was supposed to be a semi-tribute to Bruce Lee yet was only familiar with the movie and its story all from Robert Clouse's version.

Now how awful is that?

Not only that, the Clouse GAME OF DEATH is much funnier.

How funny is this....i just watched part of this movie the other night and was going to ask about it on the forum. GoldenFist beat me to it, lol. I really couldn't watch the entire movie, although, i didn't feel it was horrible. A few funny moments and some real quirkiness in the way the main characters were portraited as wanting to be 'Bruce Lee' in a movie. I probably would'nt purchase this movie on dvd.
