What are some of Stephen Chow's best films?(besides Kung Fu Hustle and Shaolin Soccer) Best early stuff? Any box sets or collections to check out??

A lot of people consider his A Chinese Odyssey Part 1 - Pandora's Box & A Chinese Odyssey Part 2 - Cinderella, to be high points. Of his older stuff, they are probably at the top of the list.

Other earlier movies I find worthwhile:

From Beijing With Love
God of Cookery
Love on Delivery
Out of the Dark (a comedy, but quite dark)
The Mad Monk (this one's uneven, but interesting)
All for the Winner
God of Gamblers 3 - Back to Shanghai
Royal Tramp 1 & 2
King of Comedy
Forbidden City Cop
King of Beggars (I owned three different copies of this (until I gave one away as a present))

I wasn't too impressed with Sixty Million Dollar Man.

Couldn't get through Fist of Fury (that could just be me though) and never finished Justice My Foot (can't remember why).

I haven't seen his Fight Back to School movies, but I've read reasonably good things about them.

I haven't gotten around to watching The Magnificent Scoundrels yet, either.

There are currently box sets for A Chinese Odyssey and another set called the Stephen Chow Collection (something like that), that has three of his movies in it, I think.

As an aside, I own all the titles I've mentioned except the Fight Back to School movies.

They're not really kung fu movies, but God of Cookery and Fight Back to School are both great flicks.

Are Legend of the Dragon and Dragon Fight any good?

I must confess I found All For The Winner and God of Gamblers II to be tedious drivel. Forbidden City Cop was more to my liking, with its hilarious and topical Roswell gag but in general, Kung Fu Hustle is the only one that pushed my buttons

Some of the older stuff has comedy that I can't stand, including weird things like Chow and somenone else having some sort of duel spitting in each others face (don 't remember the movie).
Still, I like Chinese Odyssey (way over the top), King of Beggars, King of Comedy (has a lot of heart) and both Shaolin Soccer and Kung Fu Hustle.

Those he directed are always the ones that I enjoy more: Kung Fu Hustle, Shaolin Soccer, CJ7, King of Comedy etc.

Forbidden City Cop is probably my favourite. At least it's the one I laughed most at.

I would also throw in "Justice, My Foot".
