I would of liked them to continue the Yojimbo movies, heck they made three Westerns out of the original.

Most movies I like has everyone die at the endXD they certinaly were'nt sequel minded back in the day.

I couldn't agree more.
Maybe a modern day spin on the Project A idea which could include those modern day pirates who are always on the news hijacking yachts etc.
Jackie, Yuen and Sammo could be part of an elite squad and have to stealth there way onto a hijacked luxury yacht, rescuing hostages etc.
Under Siege with the three brothers basically.

Tell that to Zatoichi or Lone Wolf and Cub.....

I wouldn't mind seeing Hark and Jet-li get back to together for a Once Upon a Time in China...

I wouldn't want to see a series continued that didnt have a good bit of the orignal cast in it.

If you dont have the Orignal Cast or Director.... Then you need to reinvent a Series, not continue one.

THE STREETFIGHTER!

Here's my (previously) unwritten dream script: Sonny Chiba returns as his character Terry Tsurugi: with silver, thinning hair,a scruffy goatee, and dressed like any other older Japanese gentleman. He's given up his mercenary ways and retired on a big fat paycheck from his last job. An american swindler-who's a martial artist- (played by me :D) who tried to rip off Tsurugi, was taught a severe lesson, but then taken under the older man's wing. He becomes his man-servant (like Ratnose)- cooking, cleaning, driving, et. But He's also now Tsurugi's only student in the fighting arts. Eventually, due to the student getting into some trouble, Tsurugi's whereabouts are discovered, and he given a squeeze by a Thai drug cartel pressuring him into doing another big job- squashing a HK competitor (the big boss is played by Vincent Zhao). He refuses. The student takes the job -of course- and almost succeeds, but is mortally wounded. Then in true Chiba fashion, the master cradles the dying student's head as he sheds tears of stone, and busts out with one of his snapping moves and crazy breathing techniques. Tsurugi decides he's been wasting away, and would rather die screaming a war cry, than wimpering as he grows old and fades away. Cut to him slipping on his old gauntlets and black gi! So he destroys both the people that forced the job on them, and the group they were supposed to attack in the first place.

No wires or CGI. Minimal, but realistic gunplay. And maximum head crushing, bone snapping, limb ripping, anatomy tearing, karate action! Tony Jaa and Dan Chupong would play the lead villain's bodyguards. Chiba would use a pair of sai against Zhao's three-piece staff. Can you dig it? I knew that you could. :nerd:

I'd like to see a good quality Fong Sai Yuk movie again, with a young, strong, short-tempered FSY.

IMHO, the best portrayal of FSY was by Willie Chan in Burning Paradise. To me, THAT's how FSY should be played, and that's how a FSY movie should be.

Find a good new unknown martial arts kid who can act and has charisma, to play the role.

I also liked the premise of Once a Thief, with a group of 3 friends traveling around the world stealing precious art and/or artefacts. Light-hearted fun combined with international settings and exciting action.

... and speaking of light-hearted fun: I'd like to see the classic chinese horror genre making a return (Mr. Vampire, Spooky Encounters).

Either more Encounters of the Spooky Kind or more Yuen Clan madness.

Would love to see the 3 brothers work again. Why not? They have been working with each other 2 at a time every few years, all three should get back toghether.

AZUMI!

I would love to see the Azumi movies continued. Azumi 1 superbly set up the story and the character of Azumi. The stunningly gorgeous Aya Ueto played the character perfectly and her swordplay got better throughout the film. The finale against Bijimaru was one of the best Japanese swordplay finales ever (IMO)! Then Azumi 2 picks up right where Azumi 1 left off. Though not as good as Azumi 1, #2 still kicks butt and Ueto develops her character even better, and again, I think she improved her swordplay. So, Azumi 2 just ended with her walking away somewhere with no explanation.

I could see Azumi easily becoming a female "zatoichi" where she, intentionally or unintentionally, gets involved with conflicts and rights the wrongs. If this could ever happen, Ryuhei Kitamura (Azumi 1 and Versus, among others) would have to direct. Ryuhei Kitamura did not direct Azumi 2, which is mainly why #2 is not as good (IMO).

Maybe not a continuation of a series but it seems to have been ages since we had a Ming rebels vs Manchu dogs movie, I'd love to see someone tackle this oft used era of Chinese history and try and do a modern take with old skool stylings, some Shaolin styles against Eagle and Mantis, proper shapes with some proper court intrigue.
