Like most articles written from a Western viewpoint, it totally ignored the 100+ swordfighting films made by Connie Chan Bo-Chu in Hong Kong during the 1960's.

Like most articles written from a Western viewpoint, it totally ignored the 100+ swordfighting films made by Connie Chan Bo-Chu in Hong Kong during the 1960's.

I see where you're coming from, but many of her films are hard to come by & very few have english subtitles. I don't think audiences outside of chinese speakers have much of an opportunity to discover her work. Even many of her non-swordplay films are VCD only, no subs. :( If I'm not mistaken, Tang Chia & Lau Kar Leung were in some of her films.

This is a cool article. Thanks for posting.
