Hey, any of you guys remember/know which Elvis Presley movies showed him fighting with his karate moves? I mentioned to my son that he did this in some of his movies and he's curious to see them now. ;)
Well, hey there Baby. Which oneaya hep cats can break it down fer me? Help out the ol' King here... XD

Seems like the one where he played a race car driver featured him doing Karate if I remember correctly Bob, it was called Speedway or Spinout or something like that? You know Elvis was supposedly a high ranking BB in not only Kenpo but TKD as well but I think he got rank more for who he was than his skill level. Chuck Norris and Mike Stone(who she ended up having an affair with) taught his wife Pricilla. Elvis did love Martial Arts though and I have to give him props for that and giving it more exposure through his fame. I have always liked Elvis and his singing and my mother loves the guy. It's sad how he ended up though with the drugs and overeating. :(

Thanks guys! :D
Chinatown Kid- I'll look into the racing one you mentioned.
I seem to remember one where he was in a little restaurant- red and white checkered tables- and mixed it up with a bunch of guys. At the time it was probably the greatest fight choreography I'd ever seen! XD LOL I was probably 9 or 10- so at this (much, much later) point, I have no idea which movie it was.
I agree with you on your comment about his "skills". I think he was much more enthusiastic than he was proficient. But hey, could Bruce Lee sing like Elvis? Nope!
I'm a Beatles guy, but I do love The King. You know what really gets me though? My wife actually saw him in concert... but she doesn't really think much of him! :p

Actually I thought he was a pretty decent screenfighter.... It sounds stupid when you say it out loud! But you can kinda tell that he understood the movements and techniques required for screen fighting. Probably due to his MA experience!

In an interview, Quentin Tarantino said that Elvis was his dream choice, who he actually first thought of when writing the part, for Bill in "Kill Bill."
That would have been interesting... Oh and originally he offered the role to Warren Beatty, who didnt "get it," so Carradine was actually his second choice- or third if you count the big E.
