Need help finding a kung fu movie...

I could have sworn it was the Movie, "Master Killer", but I realized it wasn't it, but had a similar plot.

I remember the movie being very moody, slow paced, with a guy with long hair. I think his parents were killed and he went to the temple. In Master Killer, he cut his hair once he gets to the temple, but this guy, I believed he had his hair in the movie for a looong time. I believed he ended up cutting it tho, but I can't remember. I don't think he had his hair in a ponytail or anything like that, It even covered his forehead I remember.

Can anyone help me?

could be 8 diagram pole fighter a.k.a Invincible Pole fighter, Stars Gordon Liu from Master killer and he has hair for about half the film?

ummm this might be it.

I remember a scene in that movie where is was in a dark tunnel or something, with some fire, still with his long hair, and the very next scene he was bald practicing his skills..

I rem the sound and tempo was very sad and moody.

Nope that was not the movie, but Im glad I watched it, because it's good.

The guy that went to the temple was not that good to begin with, I don't even think he had any kung fu skills before shaving his head...
