Has anything new happened with their message board so far? News pieces has links to threads for certain movies yet the board still remains offline. Been months now...

I've been wondering the same thing, still seems to be closed, before it shut down my browser gave me a warning saying the site was dangerous and could be harmful to my computer, so maybe it was plagued by a virus and they're still trying to fix it.

Yes, the forum had virus before they closed it. I got virus on my laptop. I hope they open it again soon.

Jannick, who runs KFCC, told me several months ago that he had decided to abandon the forums after the latest trouble he was having. I know this was not the first time his forums had been compromised.

A hacker got into a Joomla site I had set up several years ago so I can understand his frustration. If he's like me, he has limited resources and time to combat that sort of thing. The problem, though, may have been the software he was using. We're running this message board on commercial-grade software that required some investment. If his forum software was open source with flawed security or settings it may have left the site more vulnerable to attack.

It's a shame. I know intimately how difficult it is to run a site like his. Hopefully, he'll work something out. I know he was also interested in moving to a new platform with the main site and there are now a lot of great content management systems out there and hosts willing to provide relatively inexpensive support for setting up community web sites.
