Fist of Fury 2/Chinese Connection 2: Bruce Li gets bad rap!

I have to honestly say, I've had Fist of Fury 2 for nearly 2 yrs
brand new and finally watched it. Initially all the bad reviews
made me delay seeing this but after seeing Bruce Li, again I
cant figure why ? he gets POOR w and bad rap here.

Guess Dragon Lee gets same rap he aint bad but he perhaps
done more imitations of Lee than B.Li and less movies than Li.

I seen far worst films and actually the story more than the
action was better than I thought in Fist of fury 2. Bruce Li
needed to make a living and with all the B.Lee imitators he
is not bad in some of these films. I enjoyed FF2 more than
I thought I would. Yes its understood this flick may not even
be one of Bruce Li's better movies. But I've bought his flims
he aint that bad.

Of course this film is not the chop socky kung fu flix of films
classics as Master Killer, Kid with Golden Arm, Touch of Zen
Come Drink With me & any of the Shaw brothers films rated
higher. This film is not even as good as Masters of Flyin Guillotine I & II.

However it entertained me. Thanks Bruce Li, Guess I am soft
when it comes to liking Actors /actresses in some of these Kungfu flims. Bruce Li was a working man and made $$ as
many others on hong kong films regardless of Lee or not.

Bruce Li not as bad as he's made out to be in reviews.
He has his own charm and differs from Bruce Lee & of course
with the many many B.Lee clone/folks put in flicks there is of
course only ONE BRUCE "The man" Lee. Bless him in heaven.


The Martial Arts movies Fun we all love is all Entertainment.
A Rare lost pleasure. Some reviewers on websites of some
martial arts flicks makes you wonder what they really expect
from this movies. Especially the older poor dub classics.

I think Bruce Li was a fine star in his own right and could have went alot higher if he had been given more roles out of the Bruceploitation films. He is my favorite out of all the imitators and didn't overdo the mannerisms too much like Dragon Lee and Bruce Le. Here are some of his movies I suggest you check if you haven't already seen them : The Lama Avenger aka The Three Avengers, Dynamo, Gold Connection aka Iron Dragon Strikes back, Soul Brothers of Kung Fu, and The Chinese Stuntman. ;)

I thought Bruce Li was quite well-liked in fandom, actually. I'd add BLIND FIST OF BRUCE to that list, too.

chinatown kid you mentioned some good bruce li produt their, i also like bruce lee's secret, deadly strike, fist of bruce -(good wing chun in that movie) & ming patriots, bruce li was always a good performer, i wonder myself about a lot of people on these forums they end up slagging of kung fu movies more than liking them.

bruce li does have some fans here. i really liked FOF 2 but 3 kinda sucked. i'd also recommend EDGE OF FURY it has great fights with tommy lee as the choreographer.

I like his films better than most kung fu classics. I put him in a much higher level than most kf film entusiasts do, who just think of him as a Bruce Lee imitator.8)
