Here's a public service announcement I made. Enjoy:

<object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/fPHzXhDFM-w&hl=en&fs=1&"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/fPHzXhDFM-w&hl=en&fs=1&" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>

No offense towards those who unknowingly ask about them, but PanMedia just pisses me off... but, I thought I could turn it into something humorous.

Haha awesome. Those DVD's are like a guilty secret. Everyone has one lying around somewhere.

True, including myself, sad to say... mainly thanks to my dad buying some from the "mall kiosk" several years ago. Mainly whatever movies would be in the theaters at the same time then (Ong Bak, Kung Fu Hustle, etc). Thankfully I was able to say my "kung fu hail marys" by seeing all of these movies in theaters AND buying the official home releases. Now I make sure I steer clear of any bootlegs for sale, as well as inform my dad and my girlfriend (she likes to buy me matial arts films too... I'm a lucky guy :xd:)

Many would think that the damage is already done by PanMedia, but they now have gone past kiosks into stores dedicated to their bootlegs. I've seen at least three so far. *sigh*

Meanwhile, I avoided putting "family guy" anywhere in the video info or tags for that PSA, knowing damn well Fox would go after it!

Well, my "local" FYE or Suncoast are approx. 100.000 miles away, on the other side of the planet, so that's not gonna be a problem:wink:

Everytime you purchase a Panmedia/Red Sun DVD, God kills another kitten.

Can I make a frank suggestion?

All Panmedia topics should be locked and removed, and the mods should make a notice banning discussion of them

Why on earth should they do that??

I think is mostly becuse is promoting them and panmedia is lower than garbage, but this is my opinion and in no way am I speaking for Killer Meteor.

Hey you lot, at least panmedia discs are good kung fu themed coasters. You won't need coffee rings in front of your PC now.

Yes they are, but I don't think that any thread you can find on this forum, concerning Panmedia, can be seen as a promotion for them!

I also don't think we should act like a bunch of damn communists, and ban, censor or edit the topics on this forum, whatever they may be!

agreed but at the same time, with all the recent "want/planing on getting xx panmedia titlle blah blah blah""" threads being brought up it would be good to just have one post say what has been said many times already by many and close it up and the official word from the forum mods and move along. if anyone was interested in a particular movie, they could just ask "whats the best alternative available for xxx title?" and no need to mention boots or anything like that at all.

Not going to say any names or anything like that. But there's probably a few people here (some longtime posters) who (based on their previous postings) have no problem giving money to panmedia/stiller...

I don't want to make the discussion of PanMedia/Red Sun taboo on this site for several reasons. I don't like censorship and secondly people need to be educated about what the label represents. At this point, more harm is done by unsuspecting buyers not knowing what they are paying for. If PanMedia titles were hard to find, that would be different but a simple search on popular retail sites like Amazon and HKFlix will lead buyers to their products.

However, what we will ban is blatant promotion of PanMedia products or attempts to sell them to members through the forums. I'm not talking about saying, "I like PanMedia." I mean shilling for them which I don't think we have ever had an example of yet thankfully.

To piss me off further, today I was at FYE for the first time in a month (been busy as hell), and saw a card placement for "Flag of Iron"... going into my rare optimist mode, I thought there was a very slim chance Media Blasters' DVD was out of the gates early (yeah, three weeks early). Nope... IT WAS A DAMN PAN MEDIA DVD! DAMN IT! I'm tempted to create a video specifically explaining why not to buy from Pan Media, then posting post it notes on all of the Pan Media DVDs at FYE with a link to said video... they might kick me out, but you don't know until you try :xd:

I believe one of our members took some pics from one of these stores, I forget the posters name but they had an updated blog and everything. It had a very anti-panmedia (rightly so) stance. I went to this blog awhile back and it seemed to have some sort of security issues, haven't been there in awhile.

anyone remember this blog/poster?

Yeah, but they usually get the Media Blasters SB DVDs first... otherwise, I'd always be at Best Buy

Hi guys. I bought my Red Sun copy of "Avenging Eagle" a couple of years ago before I read about this bootleg stuff. I bought the IVL "Avenging Eagle" this year, but as you all know, it has several missing scenes. The Red Sun version however has the missing scenes. Is there a legitimate copy of "Avenging Eagle" in region 1 with the full movie?
Thanks.

Dragon Dynasty has the rights to it, at this point just have to wait and see if and when it gets an offical region one release.
