I received the new Boris/Torche split album ('Chapter Ahead Being Fake') yesterday and I got a nice surprise along with it. For those who don't know, Boris' drummer Atsuo does most if not all of the band's artwork and a lot of it is modelled after classic album covers, logos or just things that have provided influence to the band. Well, the back cover of the case is modelled after Japanese dvd releases of Golden Harvest films, with the information about the film, cast, and staff etc being replaced by the tracklisting and information about the bands and record label. Even the record label logo is designed to look like the classic Golden Harvest one!
I thought I'd share it, as it's a nice tribute to Golden Harvest. I'd post a scan of it but I'm not sure whether the cardboard case would come out unscathed.
