first off....this is no joke. i can assure you that this is the ONE subject i would never joke about.

in the past two months, shit has gone downhill. Again, I apologize to anyone whom i seem to be blowing off. I couldn't have imagined the kind of crap that has been going on. I know I know...boo hoo. And I thank all of you guys shooting me support as well.

being a retailer, and one that specializes in hard to find films, cult films, exploitation, and even pornography, i can honestly say iv'e seen alot of crazy shit, so nothing really bothers me now. I get all kinds. and when you deal with weird films, you sometimes deal with weird people. nothing prepared me for this one.

earlier last week, i had taken two days off to go to the doctor. I stepped in to the video store just to get some forms and make sure stuff was going according to plan. there was a gentleman in there that approached me right as i walked in. i told him i was off the clock, but i would help him later in the week.

last week, i had taken two days off of work in order to go to the doctor and get shit straightened out with my stomach and whatnot. i happened to stop into work to check up on some things, when i was approached by a large, gangly man, about 6'6, with a white-boy kramer fro and a grey Ahmish beard.

"Are you Andrew?", he asked.

"yes sir." i replied

"I was told that you could get me just about anything."

this is what struck me as odd. not only was this guy quirky (hell, we all are), but right off the bat, he was acting like this was a drug deal.

well, he asked for Ilsa, She Wolf of the SS and Salon Kitty (a tinto brass picture...both are not really that obscure). that's fine. i told him come in when i was working and ill get those both.

saturday comes and of course this guy shows up when i am swamped. the place was packed with kids running everywhere, and drunk parents yelling at them. yipee!

after following me throughout the store for about an hour asking me questions about softcore films, he starts asking me some other stuff.

"Can you get me any voyuer videos? i need scenes of people changing in a locker room"

ok. no bigee. porn people like their smut, and their SPECIFIC smut. I can deal with that, but not when i have kids around. what was weirder, was the fact that the more i told him i could get the things he was looking for, the more he lowered his voice and got closer to me. what was weirder than that, was that each request was more bizarre than the other. finally i had sat down behind the counter at the computer where i order from. he follows me even after i tell him that no one is permitted behind the counter.

"Here Andrew, take a look at this catalog. I think the title of what i am looking for is on page seven, but im not too sure. look through here if you can." He hands me what looks like pages he had printed out from a downloaded attatchment.

by this point i was heavily annoyed. i took the "catalog" and looked through. it was put together rather crudely, and there were no images. however, there was a discription of each film, which was more than enough for me.

I won't get into specifics. let's just say that these were from countries like russia and japan, and that they were describing acts between minors. VERY minor. so minor i trembled as i held this.

i slammed the catalog down, but couldn't bring myself to start yelling. there were so many people in the store with their kids. i told him to leave and called my friend who is running for county sherriff. the guy left right away after seeing i wasn't in to what he was trying to give me.

long story short. he left and my cop buddy soon entered. i gave him the info (the creep was stupid enough to leave his name and land line). i go give a statement this week.

seriously....what a damn week. i think im going to write a book about this place

Okay, people that know me, or have followed my posts know that I am generally a peaceful, forgiving guy. But there are a few things that I just can't tolerate- rape, hate crimes, animal cruelty, and child abuse. Normally I'm all about "Some people are born with problems, and they need extra help, let's not judge" ect. For instance- sure, alchoholism is a disease, and it's destructive to those afflicted, and the people around them. But it's worth coping with, and trying to get the person help. And there are many other things that are similar, that I also feel should be considered manageable human problems. But when it comes to those four I mentioned, I don't care about excuses. I don't want to hear that these people need help, or any of that stuff... just GET THEM OFF MY FUCKING PLANET! We don't want or need them here. They offer nothing to humanity that could possibly make their sickness worth tolerating. And yeah, that includes YOU Michael Vick you sick piece of garbage. Hired by the Eagles... i just told someone else here the same thing that i am going to tell you. i know sometimes these subjects are not appropriate for the board (however it is general discussion), but one of the main reasons i mentioned it here is because i for one never thought i would have to encounter such a thing. i guess bringing it to light (for me at least) kinda shows how this kind of thing isnt so much in the shadows as alot of us think it is. i just hope that, by me stepping up, i can help just a little bit to stop people who exploit children. it's not fair, but it is one of life's cruel little lessons

and i think im going to start managing a blog about the store. i cannot begin to tell you the stories.....

You did the right thing, Even if the guy didn't do anything (yet?) that is highly suspicious behavior and if he does get busted it might help that the cops had something on file about the guy. Maybe you'll see him on "To catch a predator" someday.

I'd read a blog about a video store, there are a couple in my town that get a lot of off the wall stuff and juding by the people that go there and work there, I'm sure there are plenty of stories.

Perhaps the guy was an undercover, checking out videostores to see if any of them are selling that shit under the counter or something.

If not, then yeah, he's a sick perv and hopefully he'll get what's coming to him.

i thought the same to be honest. it wasn't until he came in again after i had talked to the police that i knew he was just a creep. he had the nerve to ask me to order him another movie. i think he might not be all there. needless to say i chased him out

yeah that's something i have to keep an eye out for as well. despite the obvious problem of the material in hand, i also have to be careful because i don't want to ruin the store's reputation. people tend to jump off the handle about subjects like this without knowing the facts. i just don't want my business to be affected because of some creep. what im trying to say is that if word gets out, people might think we have something to do with it since we handle pornography. i can assure you it's all legal, but again, the public likes to jump to conclusions. and in today's economy, i can't afford the bad press. however, speaking out is a civic duty (as well as a moral one), so it had to be done

again, what scared me the most was how easy it was for him to get it into his hands. like the guy didn't have a care in the world that he was just carrying around that shit....wow

good for you, if there is anything in this world that really yanks at me (and I believe myself to be tolerable to a lot of things) are people who bring harm to children. to take someones innocents and potentially ruining a childs life for ones own sexual pleasure is beyond EVIL. evil should be destroyed, i believe you did the right thing by contacting your sheriff buddy to get a potential if not already a living predator is great keep up the good work man you get my big ups from the north dude.

Any distributor putting out anything like that should have their balls nailed to the wall by the cops. And that guy sounds like a total nut-job. They don't normally venture forth into the real world, preffering the anonimity of the internet, instead.

wasn't a commercial release. what im guessing it was, was a "catalog" strung together by networking pedos. it basically was just sheets of paper that looked like a downloaded attachment. the only thing that struck me was that it had a logo. whoever put this together had alot of time on his hands

I would have seen at the catalog and asked him to come back at the end of the day when I was locking up for "further discussion."
Then, when he turns up I would have some sorts waiting about and before long, we'd have him eating his catalog.
But yeah, turning him over to the cops was probably the best idea. Get him in a padded cell.
