Hello,
Is the Universe Royal Warriors dvd in it's proper aspect ratio? A couple places have said it's incorrect and other places don't really say. I am trying to avoid settling for the dubtitled Fox release if I can. Thanks in advance

I believe so. I just watched it last month (for like the 30th time! :xd:) and it looked great. I'm a stickler for things being the correct aspect ratio, and have never felt like the image on the Universe version looked compromised in any way.
What did people say was incorrect about it?

One site, fareastfilms.com says the Universe disc is " Widescreen, but not in the original aspect ratio." Another site I am unable to find right now (should have bookmarked it) said something about the aspect ratio being 1:78. As far as I know it should be 1:85. Hopefully you having the disc might help clear this up.
Oh and Amazon has it listed as 1:75 but then that's Amazon so you can't really take it as fact.

I'll double-check it.

The German DVD is your best option probably. Whilst I can't confirm the state of the subtitles (Tai Seng re-translated it years ago), it does have Cantonese and export English dubs in mono with the Fortune Star video.

Is that the Eyecatcher disc? That too is listed as 1:78. Unfortunately I can't play PAL, yet. I'm still in the stone age with that.

Yeah. I'd love if it came out again on double-feature via Sun Film (or maybe MIG) so it could have re-translated subtitles.
