Just wanted to show you guys this post i've made over at fareastfilms.com forum about the buyer/seller realrain/cooksandkungfoodle as it concerns people on this forum also. (link to original forum topic: http://www.fareastfilms.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=47&t=734 )

HI..ANYONE HAVE THIS GUYS ADDRESS OR PHONE NUMBER? SEEMS TO HAVE CONNED ME OUT OF SOME CASH,NOT HAPPY AT ALL..IF ANYONE CAN HELP ME OUT CAN YOU EMAIL OR PM ME..CHEERS

Even though I know Keiran definately is a trustworthy seller(having bought and received loads of dvds from him myself) and wouldn't con anyone. To be honest, people like you deserve to be ripped off, as that is essentially what you are doing to other people in forums on sites like kungfucinema.com's marketplace section. where you start thread after thread selling used Hong Kong Legends dvds (probably some of the same ones you bought from Keiran on this site, as most of the dvds from his original list have suddenly popped up on there in the last few weeks), charging people way more money than u actually paid for the dvds (usually the highest price you can get from them). and after having spoken to several other people on that forum i know that you're hardly speedy with delivery or answering direct contact with buyers yourself so maybe you're getting a taste of your own medicine!!

I know this isn't directly my business but i thought that i'd at least try to make it known to people what this guy's doing, as people like Keiran who are actual true fans of HK/asian cinema are selling parts of their collections at decent prices so other real fans can add to theirs, and then theres people like realrain/cooksandkungfoodle (his username on kungfucinema.com's forum) who are just trying to make as much money as they can out of them!!

Links to some of realrain's/cooksandkungfoodle's kungfucinema marketplace threads and the forum where he's got loads of threads (...under a different username of course):

http://www.kungfucinema.com/forums/showthread.php?t=8757

....on the link above do you notice how similar the list is to Keiran's original list? most of the same dvds listed in almost the same order.

http://www.kungfucinema.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=8

....and here's one where other members mention him not being honest with prices and making countless threads:
http://www.kungfucinema.com/forums/showthread.php?t=8779

This is merely conjecture, but i wouldn't be surprised also if he was one of those idiots who sell out of print dvds at ridiculous prices on Amazon marketplace (e.g. Hapkido [HKL] - £79.00), when they could easily still sell them at a profit but at more affordable rates.

G**** B****?? That guy's notorious around here for being a bad trader. He's mentioned umpteen times in the bad trader's thread (as Blue Tourist/Drunkenmaster 74 among others).

yeh i know he's got a reputation, but i thought i'd mention what he's doing now incase people aren't sure what username he's using atm and because i think its completely out of order how he keeps buying up rare dvds that proper collectors could buy and selling them on for a lot more money. i think he uses the username 'robbie' also. He always gives himself away by using the same dvd lists and grammar/presentation in his infinite amount of stupid threads that hardly anyone replies to....lol.

Lets get something straight first people i am not robbie nor do i go under the name of robbie..this is a completely different member.....

Plus i am not on amazon selling hkl or whatever dvds at £79 a pop OK.

me and keiran built up a good relationship over the past month and we spoke on a daily basis not just about kung fu dvds..i did buy a bulk of his dvds(about 30 in total) but i paid for some dvds a few weeks back and they havent arrived so i was getting a bit worried..I trust him and i know he will come through and i know hes busy moving..i will just wait til he gets in touch!!

As for selling his dvds on here and making shedloads of cash No i am not, Lets get that straight.
i was selling loads of hkl, soulblade dvds even before this post croppeed up!!!

Yes i did copy his list as the majority of dvds on his list i wanted rid of so i copied it, how could i sell his dvds on here when the majority of them were already sold to private collectors, car boot sales, fans etc..these are from my mass collection!!
i had a bad name on here a good few years ago..having a few kind words with the moderstors they let me back on and i gave them my word..As from then on please look in the Good traders section everyone gets their dvds and at least only pay about £4 to £6 or less inc postage to anywhere in the world for a dvd whether its souldblade, hkl,d.dynasty etc...i also trade dvds not selling them all the time....

U still can't even tell the whole truth now can you. In the quote below from a page on the fareastfilms forum ( http://www.fareastfilms.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=47&t=734&start=10 ) one of the members (Matt) mentions that you offered him 3 HKL dvds for £30. so that proves your bullshit "about £4 to £6 or less inc postage" is complete lies. And while £10 for OOP dvd isn't that much money, considering what you probably paid for it (a few pound) and that I know a few people who have been quoted much larger figures such as £20-£25 for just 1 dvd (e.g. Dreadnaught), just further proves that your the worst seller on this site and whichever other ones your on!!

Matt's Quote :
Thank you very much hanzo87!

Had been in contact with him on the KFCinema forums about 3 HKL dvd's and quoted £30! Under a different name as you said.

Admittedly I bought in bulk for my collection from Kieran but I got them 90% cheaper, needless to say he didn't PM me back either about the 3.

Got Hand of Death from DM for a quid brand new from Poundland and Fearless Hyena off Play for £3.73. So they still are out there dirt cheap!!

Buying them cheap and selling them on directly is just not on especially buying for pennies and selling them in the tens of pounds.

Thanks again, I think we can call this a named and shamed,

Matt.

And the well respected administrator of fareastfilms.com (Phil) admitting that realrain/cooksandkungfoodle is known for being a bad trader :

I am aware of realrain and know of his notorious background for being a bad trader. I gave him the benefit of the doubt when he signed up here as it's been a while since I've seen him around and figured he may have changed. However, if I hear any reports of him still up to his old tricks then he will be banned (again).

Whenever anyone wants to buy/sell anything in the marketplace section your always one of the first to reply, under the pretence of helping them, when all your trying to do is make as much money as possible from as many people as possible!! So why don't you do us all a favour and stick to your car boot sales, where you'll at least have to look the people in the face when you rip them off!!!

I didnt say i sell dvds at car boot sales..Keiran sold the majority of his collection to a car boot sale!!

cant remember speaking to anyone called matt through the far east forum if i have then i apologise for my ignorance,he may have pm'ed me on this forum and depending what dvds he was after yes i may have quoted him £30 for 3 hkl dvds..and yes the majority of the dvds i have, if i sell them i sell for cheap as possible,i dont want to lose money as the postage and packing to foreign countries costs...im not denying that!! and yes i do reply to people who are after dvds that i have..if i can help them then i will if i have spares..

big apologies anyways

hanzo87 Pity you've had such a bad experience and fair play to you for exposing his behaviour- I had one less than smooth trade with him during which he was less than willing to use the pm function for some reason.. The only reason I didn't post in the bad traders thread was because he honored the trade in the end (even if it was months after the initial trade proposal and during the time he owed me he continued to list dvds 'for trade' on the forum)

Seems he trades ok with some on here while behaving in a rude, reprehensible and recalcitrant manner to others....

The other traders I've worked with on here have been straight up and honest all the way.
