One time I was waiting for an old girlfriend to finish getting ready to go out, and she always took forever! She had a Christmas song compilation CD playing, and I'm impatiently pacing around the livingroom. Suddenly the "Charlie Brown song" comes on, and the spirit just took me. I started busting out into the "Snoopy dance"! I'm shaking my hair like it's floppy beagle's ears, jumping around, ect. When suddenly I notice that she'd come into the room and was standing there, jaw agape, watching me act the fool! LOL  For a second I stood there embarrassed, then I counted down "One, two, three..." and we both started dancing the Snoopy dance! :xd: It was one of those goofy magic moments.

I HAVE to see this every year, otherwise it isn't Christmas! I think the only person who could not like this is Scrooge, and that's it. I still do my best not to get teary eyed both when Linus talks about the true meaning of Christmas (in other words, it's not all about "getting stuff") and when he sees Charlie Brown's tree and says "I never thought it was such a bad little tree. It's not bad at all, really. Maybe it just needs a little love", then wraps it with his blanket... powerful stuff, really

A CHARLIE BROWN CHRISTMAS is my absolute favorite Christmas story and I never get tired of watching it. Snoopy skating perfectly on the pond, Sally's letter to Santa, Snoopy's imiation of all of the animals for the Christmas play (the vulture is the BEST!) and his imitating of Lucy, Linus's speech of what Christmas is all about, and then Charlie Brown seeing his Christmas tree at the end. Pure classic and timeless work of art. I'm glad network TV still shows it, but DVD is obvioulsy better.

So, MERRY CHRISTMAS to all of my Forum friends!

A Charlie Brown Christmas & It's A Wonderful Life are my favorite - I watch them every year.

Hey, are any of you guys down with EMMET OTTER'S JUG-BAND CHRISTMAS? That's always been a favorite for my family, and I'm a huge fan of Jim Henson and the Muppets.

I saw the broadcast premier in Bellevue, Nebraska in 1965. I have never grown tired of watching it every year, and the music sounds as fresh today as it did thirty nine years ago.
Merry Christmas, Charlie Brown. God bless us, everyone.

I can't imagine anyone not liking A Charlie Brown Christmas either. Then again Peanuts in general is brilliant.

Emmet Otter's Jugband Christmas is great as well. It's a shame there has never been a good complete release of it.

Although I've never been a big Disney fan, Mickey's Christmas Carol is up there as one of the best christmas specials ever. The same goes with Mr Magoo's Christmas Carol.

You guys should buy the DVD because the ABC broadcast cut it from 25 to 21:45 mins to fit in more commercials.
