Please watch and comment as I believe this to be the best fight I've ever choreographed, and I'm very proud of it. Looking back on my old work they now look distinctly mediocre in comparison, so please check it out. It's much better than any of the fights in the Karate Kid Strikes Back, which I did a few weeks ago, just in case anyone's worried about watching. ;)

Man, I enjoyed your Karate Kid Strikes Back, but more enjoyed the humour - thought the fights were a little bit meh...
So this kind of surprised me - for no training you're doing pretty damn well Portly!
Man if you can combine fights like this with humour like your last and keep upping them both you'll be onto a real winner before you know it and then some...

Great work Portly, most impressive - nice to see all that watching kung fu films is paying off - good sound effects and nice touches with the (i'm guessing) talcum powder...

Thanks Peringaten! I really appreciate the feedback!:D I just wish that more people on this board would visit this section and comment on the videos. There's a lot of amateur talent out there that avoid posting on this board because they know they won't get a reply.

Ok here's the order of play for next time - Portly impresses with a yet even better video, i'll tell him it's good, then he says cheers, then Chen comes in and says it's good, although he already told him that over at stunt people...

I'd love to do a film with you too!:D Seriously, because I'm always fighting my brother in my films because I don't know any martial artists. I've tried to do fight scenes with my friends but it just doesn't turn out that well. I still haven't choeographed a group fight either, so that's something I'd love to do with more people.

After making Omg-Bake, which contains only a little actual martial arts (because there we had very little time, to be honest) I'm itching to do something more knockout! Hopefully though from that film you can see that I have no problem throwing myself into it :lol

Aah, that explains it then. I mentioned in the other thread that the fighting was very "thinned out", and I guess that explains why.

You really have made a lot of progression since your early films. Your action sequences now are great, everything is solid, stick with it because your going to be big some day.
