While I was waiting for my main laptop to be fixed, I took a few random shots, edited them together with some old footage, and am calling it a teaser/trailer for a new movie I'm hoping to shoot this summer (as such, it's pretty ghetto and just for fun).

Enjoy! (I hope)

Not bad. What did you use to shoot your stuff with? DVX? And did you assemble on FCP?

Thanks. It was shot on a Canon XL-2, and edited on Adobe Premiere Pro 1.5

Nice look for the XL-2. Did you apply any filters once on Adobe? Had a good look to it. Nice pace, music. There are a few film festivals that judge just trailers so you should look into them.

Yeah, I love this camera. Some shots were heavily color corrected, others are actually raw footage. All the shots with the gun in the stairwell are raw I believe, and pretty much everything else was either only tweaked slightly or completely changed (I think it's pretty obvious where the complete changes are).

Hm... Good idea. Do you have any links to any of the said festivals? I looked around on google and filmfestivals.com, but after sifting through the 22nd page out of 55, I figured I'd ask if you had any links already...

Best places to go are filmthreat.com, withoutabox.com and filmfestivals.com. You will find everything you need on those sites.

I am on the waiting list for the HVX200 as I am interested in having an HD variable frame rate alternate to shoot with. Should be here in 30 days. Keep it up!

Awesome, thanks for the links. Man, that HVX looks sweet, enjoy it. I'll look forward to seeing some High def movies from you. :)

Shot two already but not with the HVX. They were done on the panavision900s. I don't own the camera had to rent it but the films looked awesome! One is a western and the other is a sci fi flick. Starting another mid April with some boxing action....
