Mulan DVD / Blu ray Pre-order

The action epic Mulan is now available for pre-order at Yes Asia , 2 disc SE dvd or Blu ray.
Recently watched the film and its an ok epic with some good action set pieces, Jaycee Chan is good in his supporting role. DVD is region 3. Blu ray states region A but we will see when released.

i've 1 multiregion player and 2 hacked dvd players but vcds are cheaper anyway xD
also i never watch extras and stuff like those

VCDs are shit media! DON'T buy them! They're not worth the plastic they're made from! Why VCDs were brought up when this thread was about the DVD/BR release of MULAN is beyond me.

Just watched Mulan. It's a beautiful movie. In between the battle scenes, there are moments of pathos so lyrical it is almost like poetry. Vicky Zhao wins my heart for her sensitive and angst-driven portrayal of China's legendary lady general.

Cineasia is going to release this in the UK on DVD and Blu ray.

Interesting that the Blu ray states that the DTS HD Master Audio is in Japanese (surely a mistake?)

So what's the overall consensus on this movie? Haven't heard too many opinions and I've been thinking about picking up the Blu-Ray.

OK film, story well told and acted. Wouldnt buy it myself.

Big battles, big emotions but ultimately just ok. I found it a bit boring.

I agree with the previous couple of posters. Nice to look at, some decent action, but ultimately hollow and forgettable. Pretty much a standard Jingle Ma movie.
