Default Recovering DVDs

Hi everybody,

I am trying to backup some DVD-r's onto my HDD. DVDDecrypter is having troubles reading the discs. The DVDs are too old/degraded/cheap. Does anyone have any suggestions for recovering the data from these discs?

I use DVDDecrypter and when that software fails, I use AnyDVD which will usually work.

After a long battle AnyDVD has defeated the dreaded PRINCO :evil . I will switch to IsoBuster if AnyDVD betrays me.

Thanks ;) !

i only used it once about 9 months ago.

If i remember correctly, all i had to do was put the disc in, open ISO buster, click a button, and Voila... everything i had lost off of the disc was there again.

Then it asks you if you want to restore the data. It also works with hard drives, flash/thumb drives, and camera memory sticks.

I used ISO Buster on my digital camera memory stick and it recovered every picture i had ever taken, even the ones i deleted years ago. It works this way because when you delete something it doesnt really go away instead, a few bits of the machine code(if i remember correctly) are taken away to make the file "disappear". The program runs advanced algortithms to determine the missing pieces...pieces the file back together, and you now have the original file.
