Hey all,
Some of you may have heard about kung fu fanatic/film programmer Dan Halsted's incredible "find": http://www.portlandmercury.com/portl...nt?oid=1639566 Here's another great article about him: http://www.opb.org/artsandlife/artic...ywood-theatre/ Dan hired me to create a new piece of art for Kung Fu Theater T-shirts, and I think you guys are going to dig them. They will be on sale this Tuesday at the 35mm screening of IRON FINGERS OF DEATH! Wish we could all- the whole KFCF family- be there for that!![]() You like it? You want one? Email Dan Halsted at grindhousedan@gmail.com and you can buy one! I know his photo isn't that clear, so here's who appears on the shirt: 1. Angela Mao 2. Sammo Hung 3. Gordon Liu 4. Trident Demon (from MASKED AVENGERS) 5. Blind Monk and his weapon (from MASTER OF THE FLYING GUILLOTINE) 6. Lau Kar-Leung 7. Hwang Jang-Lee 8. Lo Lieh (as Pai Mei) Last edited by KUNG FU BOB; 10-05-2012 at 02:59 PM. |

I really like the way that looks. Hope you do to. I believe the printer used for my 11x17" prints is a big fancy laser printer, but I'm not 100% sure. I went to many different printers and had each of them run a few samples until I found a place that created beautiful prints that replicated the original art's colors before I was satisfied. So I've stuck with the same printing company ever since. I'm not a technology-minded guy, but I know what looks right. Eventually I worked at that printing place part-time and got to know the machines. So I actually adjusted the settings to approximate my originals even more closely. That was a few years ago, but I still use the same printing place. My friends that work there always adjust the colors and such just how I like them whenever they make prints for me. |

Here's my latest drawing. It's not martial arts related, but I know there are a lot of horror fans on the forum as well.
![]() I drew this art as the cover for a new book called All Work and No Play. Prints of this artwork are for sale at my blog: http://kungfubob.blogspot.com/ See the photo below for the alternate version of the art with text. Here‘s the teaser/release info for the book: Jack Torrance’s infamous novel "All Work and No Play" will finally be available For the 1st time ever in all it's uncut glory! 237 pages of pure madness. A mysterious package is delivered to the Unearthed Books office. Inside is a hand written letter and 237 pages of a novel written by Jack Torrance. The letter, was written to Stephen Biro and it asked if he would transcribe the book in its entirety and to release it, to finally allow Jack Torrence's first and last novel to be published. The letter mentions that due to Stephen's book Hellucination and his dealings with the other side, the sender believes; he is the only person that can do it. Little did Stephen know or even realize... that the book is not only cursed... but it will affect him and his family in ways that he could never foresee. This is... ALL WORK AND NO PLAY Street Date January 4th 2013 For more info on the book go to: http://www.unearthedfilms.com/
