Default The Marine: Homefront (2013)

WWE Studios has just inked a new contract with FOX. Their current contract with Viviendi is expiring next month with the release of BENDING THE RULES, starring Jamie Kennedy and Adam "Edge" Copeland.

One of the 1st new films to be co-produced by WWE/FOX is THE MARINE: HOMEFRONT, the 3rd installment of the action series. It was rumored that John Cena would be back as the original Marine, John Triton, but now it is unclear as to who is starring and the film's plot.

Perhaps, the man who was originally to have starred in THE MARINE 2, Randy Orton, could be a name as unlike his fellow on-screen Marines, actually was a Marine before he became a pro wrestler.

WWE Films has announced that Mike "The Miz" Mizanin has been cast as the new "Marine" in THE MARINE: HOMEFRONT. In the film, he must rescue his kidnapped niece and stop an international terrorist organization.

The film has found its director in Scott Wiper, who directed THE CONDEMNED (starring former WWE star Steve Austin). The film is currently shooting in Vancouver.
