Default Japanese Samurai or karate movies in english dubbed

Hi,

Does anyone have any old japanese movies on DVD?
Mainly Samurai or karate stuff dubbed in english.

Just saw Yojimbo in english language and need more of this old stuff in eng dub.

Any recommendations appreciated.

Thanks.

There's quite a lot of good stuff coming out on Adness lately with eng dubs including alot of Chiba films like -

GI Samurai (which I love)
Shogun's Ninja
Shogun's Shadow
Legend of 8 Samurai
Ninja Wars

You can't go wrong with any Zatoichi film though they are all subbed. Lone Wolf and Cub are the same.

I wish I could help more but I speak decent Japanese so I mostly buy/watch subbed films.

The only english dubbed stuff that is easily accessible are the Sonny Chiba flicks on labels like Brentwood; and the Shogun Assassin movie(s), but you have to get those off of Ebay. I haven't seen any English dubbed versions of any other samurai flicks.

Thanks for the replies.

I have the Chiba and Shogun assassin stuff.

I reckon there must have been many other old Japanese samurai stuff dubbed (like YOJIMBO), but not just available..

Regards.

Somebody can probably give some definite info, but I don't think its "a lot". Samurai movies never quite caught on like kung fu movies did and even today most of the releases are subbed.
