Yuen Woo Ping is currently filming True legend. Which tells the story of Beggar So. The character his father made famous from the Drunken Master and Dance of the Drunk Mantis. Beggar So is actually named Su Chan I believe and was one of the Ten Tigers of Canton. I don’t know any specific plot details as of yet but Kung Fu Cinema needs ta find them out and post them. Truce Legend a kung fu flick directed by the Master of on screen fighting and Kung fu Cinema dont have any details what tha hay.

I’ve been a fan of Yuen’s for many years. One movie I’d really like to see him remake with today’s technology is “The 5 Deadly Venoms”; he could bring this script to life probably better than any asian film director today. Please make it happen Yuen.

Good call. Andy Lau had been in consideration early on with a co-star unannounced. More recently it was announced that Louis Koo and Shawn Yue will star. Collin Chou has joined the cast as well.

wait! Andy Lau is going to be in Iron Mask? I thought the leads were
officially Louis Koo & Collin Chou and that andy lau wasnt. Anyways good interview and i hope their will be more awesome martial arts films coming from wo ping and that we’ll get to see the next proteges
of wo ping being highlighted in the future.
