He is expressing his ideas, there is some truth to the film being of getting drunk and fighting, but to the ones actualyl watching and understanding. the movie was to place self-control upon ones self and knowing the limits of oneself.

Im from Holland and my Enlish is not the best and want to say that i agree with Hawks oppinion.Movies are meant for entertainment and movies never cured world problems.If we want morral advice in movies we will ask the Dalai Lama to make films for us. looks like Kung fu stars like Jackie and Jet Li when they felt stiff and old and saw the younger generation doing new and good stuff',they suddenly became Taoistis or Wu Wei and want to give wise advices to us after they did all those years the things they are good in. The audience judges about the movies and are responseble for the succes of it. Jackie take my eyes and look with it and you see what I see.Jackies style is legendary and motivated me to do martial arts.Fighting is Jackies trade mark and i love it and i want only more. PEACE…

Given his current status as the king of kungfu,whatever he says will not affect his reputation and popularity.On the contary,this might just make him more popular.What most important is his truthfulness.Would u rather have one celebrity who speaks to please his fans or one who speaks from his heart?

you have some very valid points there, my friend. again, i don't think mark is attacking JC. it is obvious here that he is aggravated with JC's past public remarks. Can't someone disagree with someone else without making it seem like he is demonizing other said person?

no one is taking away JC's accomplishments and what he has done for us on a personal level in general.

The seven fortunes namely sammo hung,Jackie chan, yuen biao ,yuen wah,yuen kuei,yuen bun and yuen tak have shown us that through tough training,excellent acrobatic skills can be executed.Just take Sammo hung for example,despite being obese,he was able to do very beautiful somersaults!!!!! I believe with their tough training,they hve learned to be humble,so I strongly believe that what Jackie commented that moral values were lacking in drunken master was from the bottom of his heart.Well,with the making of drunken master 2 shows that he really loved the kungful in drunken master!
