We haven’t covered video games lately but every once in a while something catches the eye that begs a mention. Japanese video game maker Koei, the company responsible for the DYNASTY WARRIORS series, recently unveiled their latest creation, a fighting brawler based on the FIST OF THE NORTH STAR manga.

HOKUTO MUSO

The game is called HOKUTO MUSOU and puts the player into the role of Kenshiro, a cranium-smashing martial arts hero in a post-apocalyptic world filled with violent gangs, crazed mobs and savage fighters. Gamers will be able unleash a wide array of powerful fighting and finishing moves, cause their enemies to explode into a fine spray of bloody chum, bring down whole buildings, and trigger Kenshiro’s signature flurry of punches that bring new meaning to the term internal injury. It’s RICKY-OH on super steroids.

Below is amateur video footage of the game in action (minus sound).

The game is slated for release in Japan in 2010 where it will be available on the Playstation 3 and Xbox 360.
