New poster art has been released for the Hughes brothers’ upcoming, post-apocalyptical actioner THE BOOK OF ELI. Featured are stars Denzel Washington as “Eli,” Mila Kunis as “Solara” and Gary Oldman as “Carnegie.”
The film puts Washington into the role of a lone man fighting his way across a post-apocalyptic America in order to protect a sacred book that holds secrets to saving humankind.
Why this film matters to screen fighting fans is that it promises considerable doses of hard-edged, realistic fighting action choreographed by Jeff Imada, the man behind the fight choreography in the last two Jason Bourne films. In addition, highly respected martial arts master and student of Bruce Lee, Dan Inosanto, was the martial arts trainer on this film.
THE BOOK OF ELI arrives in theaters on January 15, 2010. It’s safe to say this will be the first new movie I plan to see in theaters next year.
