Dennis Law, the maker of Jacky Wu Jing actioners FATAL CONTACT and FATAL MOVE has cast the wushu star opposite Hong Kong beauty Chrissie Chow in their latest actioner, tentatively titled VIOLENT POLICE BELLE.
Chow, a model-turned-actor plays an undercover police officer who poses as a student at a school to investigate a case. Wu Jing’s role hasn’t been revealed but he is expected to be in multiple action scenes with Chow.
To prepare for the role, Chow has been training in Muay Thai.
According to IMDb she previously made her starring debut in a romantic actioner last year called BEAUTYWORLD about a male school teacher who gets drawn into an underground fight club.
Production is expected to begin in April or May.
Dennis Law’s crime actioner BAD BLOOD, starring Simon Yam, Bernice Li and wushu-trained actress Jiang Lu-xia opens in Hong Kong theaters on January 21.
Wu Jing is currently on production of LEGENDARY FOUR: TEMPEST OF WESTERLY WINDS, director Gao Qunshu’s adaptation of a true story about how four police officers in Guizhou province apprehended 1,400 escaped criminals in seven years.
