UPDATE: Mark Dacascos, star of DRIVE has commented on the death of Brittany Murphy on Twitter.

I worked with [Brittany] Murphy in 1996. She was 18 years-old and a bundle of positive energy. She was a joy to be around, brought smiles to everyone on set. We were amazed at how talented she was. She was refreshing and unique. She was inspired and inspiring. My deepest condolences to the Murphy Family. [Brittany] Murphy, thank you for sharing your gifts. May you rest in peace.

She seemed like a coke head to me soo im sure it was an overdose and i feel no sorrow for people who od such as heath ledger, dj am etc

Her family and friends have my sympathy for their loss. But $5 says it was drug related.

Wow… This is sad, it seems drug related, she was too young. There has been photos of her looking strung up.

She “seemed” like a coke head? Based on what? Her acting? Your close personal knowledge of her life and habits? How can you be “sure” it was an OD? Did you sell her the drugs? Do drugs with her?

Or are you just spouting an ignorant opinion based on your boundless faith for what you read in the National Enquirer and other useless gossip rags?

this is very shocking news for me and my family, we loved her and her movies.

The coroner said the heart attack was completely natural, which at age 32 I think is as believable as flying pigs. RIP B-Murphy.

you can have a natural heart attack at a young age. death have no age at all Kevin.

What drove my interest in her career was her role as “Deliverance Bodine” in the (otherwise hokey) martial arts film “Drive” (starring Marc Dacascos, the host of “Iron Chef America”). She had a manic, fresh quality in that film that she's never matched in another film, although she's had some other brilliant moments. Tragic, and it does no one any good to speculate on the causes. None of our business, I say.

I know that as she got more famous she thinner. If you watch her earlier roles she is not stick skinny and in some of her later roles she IS quite thin. I hope she didnt push herself to be thin and have her heart give out on her. Unlike other hollywood starletts Britanny DEF brought something to the table. A unique look and voice with ACTUAL TALENT for acting. She was an amazing actress that any girl can relate to. This is so tragic – we will miss you!

Not when you're diabetic and especially if you're not managing your diabetes properly.
A friend had a TIA (transitory ischemic attack – a mini-stroke) when he was 27 years old. Why? Congenital heart defect. Shit like this happens all the time.
