Now that Magnolia has released ONG BAK 2 on Blu-ray and DVD with an exclusive teaser of ONG BAK 3, that same preview has not-so-magically surfaced all over the film blogosphere. I was holding off on sharing it out of respect for Magnolia but it’s kind of pointless now.

In case you haven’t seen it yet, here is an enticing sneak peek at Tony Jaa laying more smackdown in ONG BAK 3. There’s no sign of Dan Chupong but there is more elaborate fighting on and around elephants which looks fantastic.

As previously reported, ONG BAK 3 is headed to theaters in Thailand on April 29. ONG BAK 2: THE BEGINNING was released today on Blu-ray and DVD in the U.S. on Magnolia’s Magnet Releasing label.

    “His biggest battle is with…himself.”
Is the actor portraying the dictator king a martial artist? I feel like this series is setting up a huge fight between him and Tony. Or is the final fight against Chupong? Or…against himself?

did they abandon the idea of Jaa fighting with “boneless-style action?” if they did i'm glad. i'm not too sure how well that would've worked out.

    Tony Jaa is the MAN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

i saw the trailer before this site posted it here. i really feel sorry for jaa, because this one don't look that good either. i think what tony needs to do is more modern action martial art films, and leave the old fashion stuff behind.

I couldn't disagree more. Ong Bak 2 was insane; Ong Bak and Tom Yum Goong were awful for every moment when Tony wasn't flipping or kicking somebody. At least in Ong Bak 2 there was an attempt at making a real movie rather than a stunt demo-reel.

not to be rude, but in my opinion, it doesn't look good. i support tony jaa all the way, but just hope part 3 here doesn't fail.

you wanna know what i see when i look at this? it looks like he's re-using old techniques, and he's running out of ideas. also it seems like he's just trying to get the film done now, so he can move on to something else. i'm not anticipating anything at all here. first look i was like, oh god, not this again. anyway this one other teaser poster of ong bak 3, where he has shorter hair with the tattoos, seem like a would be a good film.

Lets hope someone smacked some sense into Tony and “helped” him direct this time.

I heard that Tony Jaa, Abe Vigoda, Martha Plimpton, Jet Li, Bruce Li, Bruce Campbell, Saïd Taghmaoui, Kirk Douglas, the entire Seoul Action School crew, the entire Alpha Stunts crew, Jackie Chan (and his Stuntman's Association), Vincent Cassel, Seymour Cassel, Seymour Butts, Sammo Hung (and his Stuntman's Association), Yuen Biao, Jean-Claude Van-Damme, Simon Yam, Simon Cowell, Simon N. Schuster, Thurston Moore, MF Grimm, Prince, Big Daddy Kane, the RZA, and Conan O'Brien were teaming up to remake TREASURE OF THE SIERRA MADRE. Directed by Wes Anderson and Pang Ho-cheung.

In all seriousness, can't wait to see this. I seem to be immune to the ONG BAK 2 backlash.

If indeed Jaa is running out of ideas, I would settle for a combination of ONG BAK and THE PROTECTOR.

can't lie, not a huge Tony fan. I think the Muay Thai fad will fade eventually in films because the style can't really change much. Kung Fu movies have been successful forever because there is a myriad of different styles. Having said that….This movie looks F****** crazy! lol I'm eating my words lol Shit they didn't need to change the style of fights they just brought in ELEPHANTS! ELEPHANTS!? Who can hate on that?! To even attempt to choreograph FIGHT scenes around animals that can EASILY crush you is commendable alone. Let alone they actually look like innovative and cool sequences. I thought Jackie and team had a monopoly on the I'm-gonna-try-to-kill-myself-while-shooting-a-movie-to-make-you-happy genre on fight flicks lol I stand corrected……………….. F******* ELEPHANTS!? REALLY?!
