I just happened to be listening to NPR’s “All Things Considered” yesterday when Jackie Chan came on to talk with host Robert Siegal. I don’t know if this is the first time a Chinese martial arts star has been interviewed on National Public Radio but it was definitely a pleasant surprise.

Topics were broad and designed for a mainstream listening audience. In his distinctive accent, Jackie talked about his father who recently passed away, his opera school training and his soon-to-be-released fantasy adventure film with Jet Li, THE FORBIDDEN KINGDOM.
